I got the 3.5 liter gas tank off bike berry, after about 3 days of riding with it the left rear stud started leaking, anyways they replaced it and I still have the old one. Seeing as I already have to take some paint off and fix the stud, I figured welding some bungs to attach a transparent fuel line on the side of the tank so I can see the majority without opening the cap.

18:18 For a gas gauge just search for "DIY gas tank fuel sight gauge" they used to use them on old motorcycles ...You'd have to drill 2 holes in your gas tank, add fittings and a piece of clear gas line tubing.
@fullmetaljacket7
@fullmetaljacket7 3 года назад
18:16 For the fuel gauge, simple solution: drill two holes on the tank, one at the bottom, other at the top. Tap/weld/jbweld a 90 degree fitting and put a clear hose going from one to the other. You will see the fuel level on the hose. Many motorcycle guys do it like this, it looks awesome. Google images "motorcycle custom fuel gauge" and you see what I'm talking about. You could also buy a level sensor/gauge kit from aliexpress (it's like a metal rod with a float on it), but those run on 12v and that might be an issue.

I stripped the exhaust mounting holes out on my first bike and the original 6mm-1.0 pitch take a 1/4"-20 tap very well. I then used stainless quarter-twenty bolts for the exhaust until I replaced the top end down the road a ways.

I agree, but everytime I have to Pedal my motorized bicycle home I'm really happy that I'm not pushing it home. The Bayside is a great bike for a 2 stroke, but a little small for a 4-stroke. It looks like it's the same size as a Cranbrook but it's actually a little bit smaller.
@michaeldelay3925
@michaeldelay3925 2 года назад
The hole is smaller, but the bike is taller. I know this because I'm only 5' tall, and the Cranbrook doesn't hit me in the crotch when I'm getting on or off it, 😂

You can leave the arm on the coaster brake and make a bracket to hold it in place. Better than dealing with a major headache.

Hey Brother thanks for the mention! Plot Twist: Turns out my V stack is actually modded to accommodate the choke! I'll post a pic to the discord as I cant recall at this point if I did the mod myself back in the day, or if the maker figured this out themselves and started shipping them with this nice little countersunk hole in the backside that I've got on mine. Another fun upload- thanks for the garage time company!

So called, "high performance" parts especially pipes and carbs, work way better if you wait until your top end is broken in and the rings are good and seated. Plus, you can troubleshoot slot easier if you already know your base unit is operational, then add your modifications one at a time.
@joerillarilla8524
@joerillarilla8524 3 года назад
All you have to do with the coaster brake on the beach cruiser in some cases is bend it. Be careful not to loosen or turn it. You can loosen the bearings in the hub as I had to learn how to put that together the hard way years back but I trust the coaster brake more than I do calipers

11 : 35 . Nugget of life's question . I learned from AvE that you can stick fine copper wire in wallowed holes and wrap a little around the bolt that goes in the hole . My first bike snapped a rear 6mm mounting bolt in the case and I wallowed my tap making new threads after I got the old stud out . It worked real well and saved that engine . I bought thar bike pre assembled to learn about and every engine I bought after was a pk80 with 8mm hardware. I enjoy your channel very much . Hope you find this tip handy and not arrogant . I didn't invent it but it definitely works faster and easier than jb weld .

About 10/11 years ago, I Built My first motorized bicycle.. A Pacific Coast Choppers Bike, That I Paid $40 on a buy & sell site locally.. Then ordered A Grubee Skyhawk 66/80cc Kit.. Built It Over The Winter and Needing Many Modifications For The 4 inch rear tire.. Wasn't Bad.. But, for A Brand New Builder.. I'd Wait to do A Chopper..lol. It Was $129.00 at the time..Complete Kit!... Well, It Turned Out to Be One of The BEST Kits I've Used.. I'm in The Process of Completely Upgrading That Engine with All High Performance Parts.. Everything.. New Bushings Nuts Bolts Everything.. I'm Running A Few Engines I Bought Raw.. And Just Ad My Own Parts.. Carb..Exhaust..Sprocket etc. They Are Not Too Bad.. Luck of The Draw With Those Engines I Guess.. But, That's Everything Really... And I Mount A Water Bottle Holder With The Largest Metal Flask & Put Extra Gas In That.. About A Third of A Tank..Maybe Half?.. Enough to Get You Home or to Somewhere To Get More Fuel in A Pinch.. It's Saved Me A couple times now though... on longer rides.. I Cruise Pavement Mostly.. Cool Video Man.. Lot's Of Honest & Great Advice... Keep On Motorin' Bro !!!

The best Build-A- I ever did stock motor broken in and then if my rim was still good I would it may help adapter in a 36 tooth sprocket expansion chamber or banana pipe make sure everything was correct. To be honest a lot of time don't even have to get a better carb if you're catching the power bands you know it's running right if it's for stroking on you it's not tuned right

My 2 stroke bike has over 2000 miles on it now, it’s running ok right now but it’s rattling a little more and it’s a bit harder to start. I heard these engines don’t last usually last more than 3000 miles so I’m already looking online for a replacement motor in case mine dies early. Would you recommend a yd100? I would not need a whole kit, just the engine which is sold by itself. Unlike my current kit I heard the yd100 has a two piece cylinder which is good. It also seems the yd100 is very well known and generally reliable. Would you recommend the yd100? (By the way I currently have a Motoos 66cc in case you were wondering).
@fuckyouandthehorseyourodei2809

Vibration are biggest enemy. That and user error. Other than that you're good to go. Have fun be safe out there

Question - why is engine braking bad? (In your opinion?) I find it substantially easier to stop by engine braking. I’ve seen people on RU-vid fighting both ways. Engine braking is bad, or engine braking is fine. Either way, I’ve been doing it, (not super liberally) for thousands of miles with no issues. I’ve got a two stroke dirt bike as well, and that’s just how you have to ride it when you’re riding enduro. I’m aware a motorized bike isn’t the same as a dirt bike, just wondering what you’re reasoning is for not engine braking. In my own opinion, it is perfectly fine to do. What is your reasoning? Thanks for the awesome vids 👍

I took a china doll lower and filled the stud holes with high heat jb weld and tapped new stud holes and fitted a yd100 cylinder and head to it but the counter balancers weren't truly able to truly keep up with the new piston so while possible it's not worth it, just get a yd100 motor and save yourself the time and headache

Hit me up if you need more info on the BT model engines I've been running them for years solid motors but are a bit different to set up carb wise. As to brakes,, pads or disc wear out just as fast if your hard on them so the only advantage to discs they tend to work when wet better

Sometimes yes, the cranks are not balanced well, but it can also be caused by a poorly mounted motor. If remounted the motor does not help, you can get a smaller rear sprocket to help reduce vibration at cruising speeds.
