As usual, unsurpassable in the amount of knowledge conveyed and how easy it is to understand. Thanks Simon (and Suzuki).

I've been the 28,29,30 of November 2017 with my MV Agusta brutale 800. Previously I've watched the video about 3-4 times and also recommended to my friends, it was very helpful. By the way I was too lucky that I meet Simon there ! and I was very happy to be able to congratulate him for the video in person. Thank you very much again for the video and effort.

well, I'm flying out to Almeria tomorrow for 4 days of hopefully fun sunny track time. Looking forward to trying to implement the information in this video. I think the corner entry phase described will be the biggest difference to my normal approach, braking to mid track then committing to full lean off the brakes and throttle is going to take a few attempts before it feels comfortable but there is no denying it works for you.
@motovudu

Good luck with the closed throttle entry. It's basically about trusting and using the front (not just the rear). Chip away little by little, letting the brakes go at a slightly higher speed each lap and trust the front (as long as its a good tyre and been on a warmer). Before long you'll find you are going a short distance at full lean with the throttle closed. The bike never turns so well as at this moment. Enjoy!

8 seconds faster than my last visit to Almeria, still not mega quick but big gains made

Is it possible to get better materials to learn the track, than for example this video ? I doubt it. Hoping to visit that place once day, and get back to this video again :)

Exactly like billiards/pool. You dont make a shot for that shot. You shoot the ball in preparation for the next shot.

This is the best instructional video I've ever seen and it's at my favourite Spanish circuit. I'm interested to know if I should still stick with my current sweeping lines for 600cc bike like mine with only 100BHP . I take the S shape line into turn 3 describe rather than a straight line to keep my corner speed .Are the lines in this video more focused to wards thousand cc sports bikes?
@motovudu
@motovudu 7 лет назад
I've had the pleasure of sharing a garage and chasing around on track Johan Zarco at Almeria. Our lines were very similar even though he was on a Yamaha R6 and I was on a GSX-R 1000. Yes, your right the guide is more focused on 1000cc bikes but my recommendation is start with what I'm doing to get going fast and then you won't have much to tweak from there to get the optimum lines for a 600cc

Motovudu Thanks for the reply I bet Zarco can do sub 1:40s on a 600 round there.
@motovudu

Yes your right, he's sub 1.40's for sure, not sure exactly what time but he's impressive!
