I love it. Just grabbed the last one at my local Target along with another Motu origins sky sled on clearance to display with origins Skeletor and his team. Glad I got Motu revelations Skelegod last weekend I really like it but them weak ankles bother me I’ll fix it. One thing about this new Battlecat is I wish it had a angry savage head because it won’t work as Cringer. Reason mainly it’s to big. It’s Cringers face when not in the armor and helmet but Battlecat should be enormous compared to Cringer and much more fierce looking in the face. I still am very happy with my purchase and look forward to collecting the wave and the rest of the figures and geeked to watch the series coming July 23 on Netflix 😊
I can't get Classics Battle Cat. That ship has sailed for many of us. I do have Battle Lion and Panthor and the articulation and poseability of this thing honestly leaves them cold. The head with the armor is not as aggressive, but it will definitely do!
Great review. I have the Classics Battle Cat and this looks like it is the same size. Actually, it looks like they reused some parts from the Classics Battle Cat which is not an issue for me because it really is a great sculpt, and this way more people will be able to enjoy it. I have a wait-and-see approach with the show. I have a complete set of the Classics line and now am putting my attention to the Thundercats Classics. I hope the show is good and I hope this line does well. Could be a great jump in point for those who missed out on Classics.
I found my old Battle-Cat while in my parent's attic the other day. Man, what a crappy toy compared to what they have today. All we had was a lump of painted plastic.
I hate how they click baited us and made us think that were gonna get a skeletor with 2 normal gripping hands and 2 relaxed hands. But no they decided to give us one relaxed hand, one fist, one normal gripping hand, and one trigger finger gripping hand
Instead of them trying to make Battle Cat look like Kringer with the mask and saddle off they should of just included another head that had a...idk goofier more Kringerish head.
It would have been good to show more of how this works with a Classics figure. The couple seconds gave me an okay look. Doesn't really look like a Classics figure can sit on it that well. I like your background. Its like a workshop, its cool.
I'm not keen on the style of the helmet but it's not a bad looking Battlecat. I prefer Classics but the feet look much better on the new version that actually has claws. It always disappointed me the Classics one didn't really have claws and the paws looked a bit cheap.
I think this looks cool! I'm looking forward to the new show too. I wish the MOTU Origins Battle Cat had that sweet, sweet ankle articulation....and an unmasked head that could actually pass for Cringer too!
Nice review Jay! I like this version, pretty nice. I probably won't go after this line, but I guess time will tell. I want to wait to see more reviews of other characters.
Yeah, I really want to see the the other figures in the line as well, it's hard to base it off of one beast. Gotta have He-Man and Skeletor in hand to truly know.
I guess that is the best figure of Masterverse, the figures has some weirdness on them from the head, to overall body proportion. I ordered this Battle Cat and 6 out of the 9 figurds that was announced to support the new line of MOTU. Will look forward to your classics battle cat with the masterverse one.
are you able to sit an origins he man on it and if so is it not too wild out of proportion ? Because I was kinda wanting to get him as origins battlecat and have origins battle cat armor less as Cringer just to show he grows in size with the powers of the power sword.
You know I filmed a shot with the origins he man on top of him I forgot to add it in the final cut! I think it looks really good with the Origins He-Man riding him, not too far out of proportion at all!

Is there a secret to getting Revelation He-Man to fit onto Battle Cat?? Ive tried & tried but cannot seem to make it work without He-Man looking ridiculous trying to ride Battle Cat
I like this battle cat. Where did you get it from ? Also, when you do the comparison, could you show if the Origins Battle Cat head gear and harness fit on the Revelations figure and vice versa ? Also, how do the Origins figures look with this Battle Cat ? Great review as usual Jay !
Does origins helmet and saddle fit? I'm guessing no, but if the helmet at least fit, I could paint the body and have a decent classics approximation without spending $300. Also, $60 is a crazy price. Origins Grayskull, if you subtract out $15 for the surveyed Sorceress figure, is $60.
Its a great looking figure, it's just a shame that due to the new loincloth design none of the characters will sit on it properly and instead float weirdly a few cm above the saddle.
Well idk, it looks really off model to me, same with the other figures. The muscular definition is completely different looking in the show, and the same goes for Battlecat. And also the face just seems off, 8:51, notice how much more rounded his chin is on the figure, because they got lazy with all of the gruff and fur. Also notice how much more of his face the mask covers in the show compared to the figure. It almost seems like these toys were designed first or something, because it really doesn’t look like the show, they even messed up the color of Skeletor’s face, it’s yellow in the stills we’ve seen, but not on the figure. Edit: The only other theory would be that they just designed the head after cringer and not Battlecat, because even with the open mouth it just doesn’t look right to me. But we’ll have to wait and see what cringer looks like to make sure.
The Classics Battle Cat was great, but it looks like this Revelations Battle Cat might have more articulation and head range. The Classics Battle Cat has a better paint job for sure.

It passes... because it's proportional to a real cat. BUT the line just lacking PAINT! $39.99 Is the price. I would not pay 59.99 for this. It currently has the plastic cheap toy paint look due to lack of paint. The figures are really lacking paint.. He Man needs gold paint and metallic paint for sword, some shading like Flash Gordon... just a little more paint detail would make the figures so much more visually appealing.

I think this Battle cat is the best we have gotten so far, the articulation beats the Classics, the Classics Battle cat and Battle Lion are way too top heavy! over time he doesn't stand properly, this Battle Cat has the size the cringer feature and the Articulation, he is worth every penny if he holds up!
common!!! This new revelatio Battle Cat looks 10x better than the old ones... color and everything! I wonder what are people gonna moan about now cause they always find something... yeah collor that is btw 100x better and more accurate to original filmation cartoon btw...
