00:06 Step 1 - Grease The Threads
The bike freewheel is likely to get wound on tight in use so greasing the threads is essential to stop it getting locked too tight.
00:25 Step 2 - Take Care
Match the two threads carefully as the threads on the hub shell are soft and easily damaged by the steel of the bike freewheel. Make sure it goes on straight. If you’re not sure use a key to unscrew the bike freewheel then start again.
Pro Tip
There’s no need to tighten the bike freewheel on the hub as the power of the rider will finish the job the first time they go hard up a hill.

Put the wheel back in the bike.

Thank god...i was searching for this VERY SPECIFIC VIDEO, i opened my rear wheel to de-reust it, suddenly i realized i have three screws left out of which 1 is not in order....i did feel like it went inside the bearing....thank god, it keeps the bearing from rotating and also keeping the whole body on it.❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Nice catch. Not only do the axles differ - solid v.s. hollow axle - the latter wheel is most proabably (though I have seen an 8 spd freewheel) equipped with freehub rather than a freewheel...

@revo In practice the freewheel is tightened during regular forward pedaling. Removing it after use requires a special tool and a considerable leverage. Such leverage cannot be applied by simple backward pedaling since the freewheel spins almost without resistance when pedaling backward. Grease is appropriate here.
