This is the best example that I have seen on removing and reinstalling the front fork assembly. Absolutely on point. Great video - you are a great bike mechanic. Exactly what I needed to see.
Very nice video thanks! What if the I think it's called cone mounted on the fork at the very bottom, what if that's pitted, then how do you replace that? Is that somehow pressed on or does it slide off? I only commute by bike so is there a trick of the trade to quick look to see if the cone or race is pitted or not top and bottom... probably wishful thinking and requires one to take it apart, look, reassemble it, go to the bike shop for parts, then return home to repair, right?
After watching several videos and still being confused this video was articulate enough with setting the gears and having a concise clear view/angle of the routing process! You sir are a national treasure 🍻
My bolt was stuck Allen key would not move it so i got my 6mm allan key socket and a 2 foot breaker bar on it that moved it mite help some one who has this problem
looks like it would be more effective if you could transfer the energy to the outer portion of the lower wheel, increasing the speed with simple gearing. right now you might as well turn it by hand because its all linked to the center
Back bearings get greased separately. I use marine grease. On these cheap wheel hubs, the bearings are loose so it's good to pull the axle out over a bowl and have a magnet to collect all the bearings.
When someone told me, you can't strighten an egg-shaped wheel at home, i was rightfully sceptical. Good there are people like this here, just have to look. For 20 videos on how to strighten the '8'-shape wobbly wheel, there was only 1 for the egg, much harder to get true. Don't know if you use the 'egg' term in english, but without this i'd try doing it with the tyre on and likely mess it up more. Now just have to construct that adjustable lever for calibration, thanks a bunch!
Thank god...i was searching for this VERY SPECIFIC VIDEO, i opened my rear wheel to de-reust it, suddenly i realized i have three screws left out of which 1 is not in order....i did feel like it went inside the bearing....thank god, it keeps the bearing from rotating and also keeping the whole body on it.❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
