It's a big deal. Back in warband you were fighting the real shit if there were more than 300 men in a battle but now it seems reaching the thousands isn't going to be that much of a big deal.

Friendly Stranger Fuck max settings, FPS is way more important. Plus M&B has never been about graphics. Lower settings enough so you can have enjoyable experience with max battle sizes. Thats where the fun is

I used to win many battles in VC and the old Warband just by commanding an army. Sometimes using skirmishers as a reserve or by leading cavarly encirclement. With more spear throwin troops on the field you can make more companies to reserve position, and have them in aid on critical parts of the battlefield.

My friends are hoping this has some kind of co-op this time around. Just the concept of them being able to step in and assist while one of us is the commander is enough to get us too excited for potential disappointment (for that one feature that probably won't be, I know damn well I'm still gonna love this game.)

@A P They were talking about a co-op feature way back in a dev blog (can't recall which one) where host would be the party leader and commander, while the guest would be a companion, only joining battles and such. They said that this feature will not be there at launch, but might make it to the game further down the line!

Theres a mod for the first Mount and Blade that lets you control Achilles with his myrmidons and fight in the Trojan war. Im sure someone might make that mod for Bannerlord

@@CyberHo4X well, it is only a beta release, so, as per usual, there will be many things to improve here and there, so, in a way, we all are a tester for the sake of this game's final improvement. But you've got to admit, when the bugs finally located, with this kind of engine and concept, this game will be fenomenal.

@StormFighterGuy idk. If they could fight back as well it would kinda make them op if they could do both as the same time and useless if they would just stop using shield and attack instead and get killed.

Skorpius 202 Or just nerf damage done when your shield is up. Like in real life, you cant really swing or thrust full power if you are holding a shield up, especially in a shield wall where theres not much space to move around at all. That would provide a solid tactical decision, when to hold the wall and when to start attacking back in full power.

Most games being reskinned without massive overhauls feature wise has been done a thousand times or more by now and it's pretty boring eventually if it can't keep you invested. Graphics and animations and sounds are novelties that wear off fast if there's no substance feature wise.

@@voevodineu Well, the player can now permanently die in bannerlord, so perhaps if you don't have a dynasty, the party is taken over by a "hero" after the player dies in battle. The hero is the person you control, and their great performance in battle let's them take leadership.

@@voevodineu Who cares whether it's fair or not. Would you prefer boring death cam or restart battles every time you die? I've seen that enough times in Warband and I'll take not fair over that anywhere anytime... Especially in mods like PoP where you can battle thousands of enemies. Good luck waiting those battles out.

@@33md0033 Yeah, a lot of mods have confirmed they will make a Bannerlord version. Will take some time tho. Modding tools will most likely become available with full release (~ Q1 2021).

The amount of ragdolls/bodies was something the players controlled via the options in warband. You could have nearly the entire battlefield ragdolled if you wished, but it would likely lag your computer depending on what those numbers were (If you edited the ini for higher numbers like 3kvs3k.)

You can't. This is a mod for the multiplayer beta. It will be like the old one where you have only your character and can't hop after death

I would love to see that the devs add a feature to cheer after a battle.... after a hard fight or a siege... when the ground is littered with dead bodies and blood everywhere and only a handful of your men and you have survived, I sometimes just stand there and watch my men cheer... that's something that warband already did really good... that feeing of "oh, dear what a battle...."

RTX 2070 I9k High settings :D The lags are because of the "Clashing between soldiers" and "Huge Army Battles" so basically if u want huge battles u'll need a good pc setup.

@@pelinalwhitestrake8289 Yes but the minute the charge order was given the infantry disintegrated, I'd have maneuvered the arbilists to the left flank and concentrated their fire there whilst moving myself to support the right flank, then rotated the infantry backward on itself (using the left flank as a fixed position) re-orienting themselves around the arbilists, leaving them in a newly centered position. Whilst many would still have been lost, the integrity of the unit would have had a far higher chance of surviving.
