An excellent hike in regional New South Wales! The Mount Brogden hiking trail is a fairly simple hike that can be done in a morning or afternoon. Located in Cocoparra National Park Yenda about 5.5 hours West of Sydney in regional New South Wales, this trail offers different surroundings than what can be found around Sydney.
The dirt is a beautiful dark orange/red colour with a different mix of trees (notably more pine trees). We did the trail this past spring and the wildflowers were out in full force - beautiful! This is a great one to pack a nice lunch and enjoy it from the lookout at the top.
If you give it a go, keep your eyes peeled for echidnas, kangaroos, small reptiles and even red-bellied black snakes. Note that the entry road to the start of this trail could be tricky if it has rained recently (4wd recommended, if wet). Enjoy the footage!
