hey flinter, here's a tip: when you shoot an animal, hold down the trigger instead of tapping it. This will delay the bolt action animation until you release the button, which will let you see the animal react to the hit much easier

This is how sheep hunting is supposed to be. The only thing missing is a long range spotting scope. It would also be nice to have a tent you could carry-- not for fast traveling but for changing time and gear only and it should be on a timer( maybe every real life 30 minutes) so that it can't be exploited. Tents are a common carry when back country hunting, probably even considered a necessity and they would just add to the hunting experience.

Hey Flinter, if you haven't noticed yet, you need interact with the maps on the walls of the 4 cabins on the map to see the area limits, that way you can easier see which areas are public or private land, as well as which biome they are!

I was trying to do a mission for a young mountain goat. I ended up finding a 5 star mature. It has been kinda fun hunting up in the mountains for mountain goat and big horn sheep.

Also while aiming down the scope if you do hunters sense it will give you ranges and power of the shot and the power number turns orange ish if its the right amount of energy on hit. And if it stays white it means its too high or too low. Also it gives you a red dot that helps you adjust for wind and drop when its between exact clicks of the ranging

Thanks for the great tip about that area in the South East. Scout the area around the bigger lake north of the cabin the last two days and after seeing this video went to the south and got a 5* White Tail and about half an hour later got the 5* Mule. 😁😁

10:40 ha. I went scout for elk up in Arizona. Don’t have tag but scouting. Walked up little hill and looked up. That adult elk walked towards to me and we spotted each other same time and spook him and he ran away. It was good 40 yards. Man if I had tag and I could just kill him easy. Also it was just half mile from my van. Everything was just easy that day except no tag no hunt. Just scout ha

Awesome vid flinter!! The only thing I’m concerned about this game is the racks and trophies look the same as if there’s no variety. Maybe it hard to see through my phones screen though I would love to see difference and how each big buck is unique and not looking the same

This game is great. Apart from being buggy as hell. I like to step away from multiplayer heavy AAA games and just relax. I walk around the map set the controller down and just be on my phone listening to ambient noises. Really refreshing, never played hunting video games before this one.

While I was grinding for cash to start the game, I was shooting the non trophy bucks with brain shots. 🧠 saves the meat.. so you'll get a better price. Plus saves time with the tracking. Maybe like an extra $20 per deer, but huge time saver on tracking. Just a tip. 👍👍

I was confused with the scoring at first because I'm used to Classic, but I just realised 469 counts both antlers instead of one. So with B&C/Classic scoring, it's 234.5

if you have hunters sense activated you'll get the red circle. your bullet will land somewhere in the red, mimicking the inaccuracies of rifles (and humans). its smaller on the 300mag than the 243 for example, and will move slightly if there is wind.

The stars genetic potential go in increments of 20% 1 is up to 20% 2* is up to 40% and so on. The game basically gave that away by giving the mission to kill a specific bear that is 4* and always is at exactly 80% dna. I have a herd i tracked where the male started at a mature 2* and grew to 4* eventually. Like probably 30 hours of gameplay or more but yeah. They growi use the callers to know which ones to cull

Yeah that quest and the others ones like it, are tough. Idk who's idea it was at Nine Rock Games to make the requirement for getting hunting access to the Moose area, harvesting a Moose. Same with She Devil and getting a young mountain goat. So hard.

@@jeff3221 There is plenty of moose around that area, any region wich is classified as swamps has loads of them. just south of it there are many need zones for moose. The time schedule is the same as the deer.

@@eduardofreitas8336 There's some for sure, but I still found it to be a bit difficult to find a 2 star. I ended up stumbling across a 3 star in that area. I just think it's a bit silly to have the most moose rich area be locked behind harvesting a decent sized moose. It's counter intuitive.

@@jeff3221 Go south of Ruiz's lodge until you are out of the "permit required" area (staying by the river though) Found plenty of Moose during drinking time. theres a few 2* + Moose. Took a while to get it done but it's not that hard. The goat one.. Go South from Yi's Cabin along the bank of the lake then follow the river all the way to the end where it becomes a small lake. There's a hunting stand there. Get in there before Goat drink time and they will come! and drink there. Happy Hunting!
