Hi Phil! This is a very helpful video as I was just looking at these backpacks myself. I wonder in terms of your partner Emily since you mentioned that the rucksack did fit her. Did she have Carrion women's size or just standard (the same as yours)? I'm having a hard time choosing between women and standard fit so this would help a lot!
I’ve been considering this pack, but I’m wary of the name. Carrion, by definition, is in essence roadkill… that aside being a taller person I will continue my search! Thanks for a quality review!!!
Hi Phil. Thanks for the review. One question on the backpack. Do you know the dimensions of the backpack. Specifically the maximum height? I am looking to carry a Hurley in the pack. It is a piece of (Irish) sports equipment. The one I use is 33 inches tall. It would need to fit in the backpack to be carried on flights. Can't find the dimensions online. Would really appreciate the help.
The top can expand and tighten with a drawstring, and the bottom compartment can also be unzipped to make one single inner compartment, so it could definitely accomodation something 33 inches tall.
I'm 6'2" with this exact bag. Tbf I am all legs and arms. Quite short back, the hip strap fasteners go just under my belly button. It feels OK to me , but my left shoulder saver strap is the same, I put the strap through the buck twice and that's solved it for now. I will upgrade but in I got it for £40, its cost me £2 per night out ish. So we'll worth it to me. But I liked your review and definitely sub👌
Why did you feel that way? I bought this pack and started right out using it in 20 below weather and I am very hard on my gear. The fasteners have held up great and no holes in the bag and I throw a unguarded hatchet in it. I've had it about 6 months but have thoroughly used it. Best wishes though friend!
