Good video 👍. I recently installed light's on my zero turn mower and after all that work a month later I purchase a new one so I get to do it all over again. 😊
Good job! Your wiring skills impressed me. I'm a HVAC technician and always repairing burnt wiring and solder with heat shrink is the best way. Most of the time I just use a butt connector. Lights look great and are bright.
@@prestonweitersjr.9460 I own a lawn care company. Just me, I have a mzt-52 I ended up putting LEDs on it. I refuse to mow wet / raining lawns. Looks terrible. If we get rain, sometimes I will mow my commercial accounts after dark. Just to stay on schedule. Most time 10pm is as late as I go. Few times to midnight. It also helps in the fall during leaf clean up. Where here in Indiana USA it will be dark by 6pm.
@@davidbaron6647 6/19/21, Interesting take on lights; never noticed anybody doing that; some come w/lights but never thought about it. I got a new Gravely ztx42 (no lights), priced right, right size 4my property. Come leaf season I'm getting a lawn sweeper (Ohio Steel or Agri-Fab) to hitch up.
@@prestonweitersjr.9460 Thanks. I mounted mine down front on the frame. Last year I mounted two 18watt led one on each side . This year I added a 18watt in the center. Only pulling 54 watts = 4.5 Amps. The charging system is capable of 9.5 Amps , to keep the battery charged. Only needed it twice so far in 2021 with all three lights. The new center light is aimed 5 to 10 feet in front of mower. The two sides are aimed about 15 foot in front. Its Perfect. I don't know how to share pictures here. I can always email you pictures. Last year I think I mowed after Dark 5 times during the summer. But almost every day once fall hit. I have less than 50 dollars in it with lights, breaker, switch. Maybe 3 hours of my time.
Hi Mark new subscriber here Got a quick question for you. If the inline fuse holder is 12 gauge wire and the lights pig tail is 14 or 16 how do you connect to inline fuse? Thanks Mark I’m a newbie..
Gotcha thanks! So you can mix wire sizes then? Did you also use the 30 amp fuse to protect the switch? Or a smaller one than 20 amp? Thanks Mark your very patient! I’m thinking about a Scag with the clamshell too...lol
Marks Misfit World So I can mix wire sizes? I’m confused! Did you use the 30 amp fuse too cause I thought if you’re gonna protect switch you put in a smaller amp fuse than the switch is rated at...I’m obviously confused...lol Nothing new I assure you! Your a patient man thank you!!!
@@Trackhoe075 wires sizes can be mixed you just have to be carefull not to draw to many amps throught the smallest guage wire. I used a 30 amp fuze because that is what came with the fuze holder and the switch can hanle 30 amps. Not really worried about protecting the switch as much as if there happens to be a short from a cut wire that it does not ground out and start a fire.
