This is a really fun game. Man, the more I revisit these games more the I realize I like them much more then a lot of the crap that is released today. I spend more time playing and replaying these old arcade games then some of my $60 Nintendo Switch games.
Awesome review Phil! I enjoy this one personally. Much like the Atari VCS/2600 ports of Pac-Man, and Lock 'N' Chase it has it's own interesting unique gameplay elements for a maze game. I don't think you mention it in the video, but there's also an IntelliVision Mouse Trap port.
Just came from Lock 'N' Chase. Every kid wanted to play a maze with dots game due to Pac-Man Fever. This is closer to Pac-Man, but doesn't interest me; I'd rather play 1983's Ms. Pac-Man.
6:18 One of the few games that uses the B&W/Color switch to do something in the game. I guess they didn't think people would be playing it years later without one.
Funny how some people accused Coleco of porting poorly made games for the 2600 but this was a solid port. Not as good as the Colecovision version but still good.
I really love this game, & how lovely of Mrs. No Swear Gamer for the gift, but personally I’d prefer this over Rampage, that’s how much I love this one lol
It was one of the original 9 cartridges in 1977, but I didn't realize as it's the coolest one and comes with steering controllers, that were sadly not used for anything else (like if there had been a part 2, Tempest, a Tron port or Wild Western which use it to aim). It didn't have oil slicks though, like the arcade game it was based on. And the next series of arcade games like that came out after 1983.
