Mine is 3 slate also. I had no issues with slate separating at the seams etc. I purchased the table used. I disassembled it at the previous owners home, moving it to mine and set it up in my basement and then did a complete DIY re-felt. As always with DIY it’s at your own risk with no guarantees. Go slow and easy. That’s what I did. Hope it helps!

I wish this method could do that also. I had to fully disassemble it when I purchased it to transport it and move it into my basement. I hope your table move goes well.

Yes it is level. I removed the felt when I purchased the used table and disassembled it to haul it home. Once in the basement I installed new felt. After three moves to facilitate the new carpet installation it’s still level.

I used a torpedo & 2’ level which I already own. I know to get out perfect it’d be best to use a machinist level, per some of the videos I watched, but I didn’t want to incur the additional expense.

Each slab is approximately 150-200 lbs. We moved it with two people especially since were hauling them down stairs

That’s going to be a challenge. Fortunately I did not have to do that for this video. When I purchased the table, used, I completely disassembled it and moved it to my basement. This required new felt for the table also. Best of luck with your table move.

It should as long as you have a Jack and for dollies that will support that weight. Is it a single slab or multiple? A longer table may run a higher risk of popping the wax in the joints so you won’t want to lift it too high. Always be cautious lifting that amount weight.

It's a three piece slate table. I purchased the table used and disassembled it at the prior owners home then moved it with the help of my kids. I then had to put everything back together including new felt. Once we decided to carpet I didn't want to go through that process again. Thanks for watching!
