Today’s Life Question of the Week asks, how can one move on from feeling regret for their past actions that have hurt others as they now work on trying to embody their best self.
Next, Michael sits down with Tommy Rosen. Tommy is an internationally renowned yoga teacher, meditation instructor, addiction recovery expert, and founder of Recovery 2.0, a global organization dedicated to inspiring and uniting people in recovery from addiction through the practice of yoga and meditation so that they can heal and thrive. He is also the author of the widely-acclaimed book, Recovery 2.0: Move Beyond Addiction and Upgrade Your Life, and host of In The Circle podcast.
In this personal and insightful conversation, Michael and Tommy discuss:
-How Tommy’s anxiety-ridden childhood led to his drug abuse and addiction, and the ways in which the Yogic path and practice ultimately freed him
-What’s at the root of all addictions
-Why we live in low-grade anxiety without even realizing it, and how to shift out of that
-Breaking family patterns and the patterns of conditioning that limit us
-The genius of the 12-Step Program and that the goal of recovery is not just abstinence from the substance or behavior, but complete emotional and spiritual freedom
-Tommy’s Recovery 2.0 Life Beyond Addiction programs---and so much more!

Thank you. I recently removed alcohol from my social life. The more I pray/meditate it doesn't have a place in my life. Thank you to my mentor MB and his guest for this life changing insight! Namaste❤

I left my authentic self many years ago and I definitely avoid myself. My current addiction is gambling. I need to stop hiding from me so I can heal from the temporary addictions 😢😢😢

This is a touching topic . As a healthcare provider I can say it’s not easy for patients to get off Suboxone. It’s not that we intentionally want patients to be on drugs, but they need to get better quickly to return to their normal life. The society is not setup for patients to get the time to heal. Our bills are more important, and not earning will cause more stress than progress. It’s important to take time off and heal. Many patients try getting off and just can’t . The key thing is to stop them from using illegal drugs or stop using narcotics or benzodiazepines and reduce their risk of OD.

Very nice. For myself it was fairly the same situation PTSD, anxiety, uncertainty and escapism from reality. I think environment has a huge part to play in addiction also.

This one hits home... I haven't had addiction to illegal substances or even alcool, but I do have these patterns and the disconnection with my true self. Thanks a lot for this conversation !

Thank you for addressing addiction. When Mr.Hami said "anxiety comes from not sitting still and not knowing yourself i felt that. I was addicted to drugs for years and i held in hurt from childhood and rhey manifested into addiction. I was so disconnected and now i see that i started to connect more with myself and my needed to be okay with stillness and myself thats when my life changed.

that was the BEST question and BEST answer for 'forgiveness and regret'. Well done. I would like to hear more about 'cord' between the 2 souls MBB. I know the silver cord keeps us when we go to astral plane at night (from leaving Earth, LOL) but important to talk more, i would love about: transmit and transmute (go into depth with the two). next time. or another time. And so it is.................MBB

alcohol is in all videos b/c liquer companies paying for 'ad' within video aka P Diddy, Minaj, etc Its worse. NOw, Bravo shows alcohol, VHI sponsors Absolut, so its everywhere. And now: dealing with drivers who vape , smoke, etc. too much!
