As a person from Poznań, I can say, good choice. Most of the biggest cities in Poland will be good choice. It is always subjective which fits better for you. Cost of living in Poznań is the lowest from all major Polish cities. It was the best city to live in Poland in 2023, according to Business Insider. Also recently awarded as most dinamically developing Polish city, in terms of services and business. Lowest unemployment rate in Poland (below 1%) and the highest students/citizens ratio in Poland (almost 130k students in 550k city). Historical city with lots of historical buildings and places. Of course suffered from WW2 like many other cities in Poland. Very good public transportation. What I personally like, are parks all around the center of the city, so you always have place to sit and take rest. 4 lakes within the city, including most famous Malta. Regional cuisine and small language differences from rest of Poland, may be interresting for newcomers as well ;) City is victim of construction/reconstruction work, in the big part of the center, for last 3 years. However most of them are finished. No, I'm not saying it is objectively the best. I'm saying it is good for living.

I thought that you moved to Lodz ,which is controversial,but Poznan is the best place to settle down.

Historia Poznania nie zaczyna się w 1253w tym roku lokowano miasto na lewym brzegu Warty ,w 968 powstało w Poznaniu pierwsze biskupstwo w Polsce ,więc miasto istnieje od początku państwa Polskiego ,

The earliest surviving references to the city are found in the chronicles of Thietmar of Merseburg written between 1012 and 1018: episcopus Posnaniensis ("bishop of Poznań", in an entry for 970) and ab urbe Posnani ("from the city of Poznań", for 1005). The city's name appears in documents in the Latin nominative case as Posnania in 1236 and Poznania in 1247. The phrase in Poznan appears in 1146 and 1244. In about 1249, Duke Przemysł I began constructing what would become the Royal Castle on a hill on the left bank of the Warta. Then in 1253, Przemysł issued a charter to Thomas of Gubin for the founding of a town under Magdeburg law, between the castle and the river.

I am so embarassed by these hateful comments. I'm so sorry! Everyone has a RIGHT to not want to die in war, people what's wrong with you? I know there were some conflicts between our countries when it comes to politics and many unsolved historical issues, but please, be respectful to others! We all should treat ourselves with dignity! Russian media propaganda works well as I see, sad.
