Excited for this series. I have been doing this first drill in my backyard for a few years now and it has helped me tremendously, especially as he says from 150 and in. I have a few clubs by the back door and do 9 to 3 practice swings while letting the dogs out or cooking food on the grill.
Love this guy !! I'm 73 and getting back to the game with his videos...a genuine guy with the desire to share his experience with us to improve and keep us going :) ...
YES! i’m a 12 hcp and plateauing… thank you for this series and video… so far loving how it’s about “my” natural body movement and not some kind of technical analysis of “points” of where my swing is “supposed” to be
Started teaching a young golfer and going to be following this series. Already worked on the first lesson with her, the tempo and rhythm swings. Looking forward to the next video! Thanks Paddy!!!
Great stuff. As always, nice and simple and yet jam-packed full of brilliant information......and what's more - I am now on my way to a single figure handicap 😄Thanks Paddy 👍👍👍
I fluctuate from 6 to 9 handicap. My home course is very tight and very punishing if your slightly offline off the tee. My home course causes many players to "steer" the ball, and that never works! Little tips like this, I can do on the course when the nerves start building from a poor tee shot or two. And again, to be clear, a "poor" t-shot on my home course is likely a good one at most other coursess. So thanks Pod, this tip helps me get my rhythm back and feel comfortable swinging freely again!
I am an 8, but I play with a lot of friends who think they are a 25+ lol, self-described and not verified. Part of that is the amount of beer they drink, but that's a side point. The thing I notice playing with them for years is that they have several holes a match where it's a snowman or worse, but they also have PGA level intentional shots and puts in their bag too. They make birdies, but also tripple bogeys. I keep telling them that they are just a "handicapped", single digit handicapper. We can all do this! I am so on board for this journey, let's go!
Thanks Paddy, from just north of Sydney, Australia. I’ve been doing this drill for about a week and a half. Have never hit my irons as well as I have in the past few days. Can’t wait for the rest of the series
Paddy, thanks for this channel and tips , had my best round ( 80 ! Yesterday ) , I’m a 15 handicap after working on your weight forward pitching ( I don’t skull it anymore ) also your movement/hip/ weight movement in the swing .. it’s fantastic
This should be fun! Going to see if it takes me to scratch (currently at 1.9) because I really feel like I play golf swing instead of just playing golf. Hopefully I can get out of my own head and just play again! Thanks Uncle Paddy!
Great video Mr Harrington to spend the time going from beginners start and explaining it in a simple way. Look forward to rest of training videos. Loved watching your career. Well done on another victory to add to list
These videos are motivating me to try to become a single handicaper. I can drive the ball well, my provlems are with making a mess around the green. I just shot 9 holes 2 over par with no birdie this weekend, so happy about it.
been working on a bunch of this stuff Paddy, shot my first ever 36 on 9 over the weekend which was an awesome feeling 🥳thx for all the truly pro tips m8!
Thx Paddy for better clarifying your old videos and helping struggling golfers like myself. I was a 2 hdcp 50 years ago and now a 14, and it’s hard to accept. Watched your first 3 videos, and I’m all in. Most of those things I did way back and have gotten away from them, especially getting to the top on the proper plain and setting my wrists. I love practicing and doing what your explaining gets me excited to restart over. Thx again for sharing your knowledge. Steve F
First time stumbling upon your channel Paddy! As I’m doing this I’m noticing what feels most natural turns out to be a pretty flat swing plane. Just wondering if that’s something worth trying to consciously change or if I should go with it since it feels the most natural? 9.6 handicap that has always tinkered and struggled to find “my swing”. Excited to have this series to work off of!
Paddy, what are your thoughts on swinging a rope like Dr Kwon? I love doing that and find it so helpful to get back into rhythm. Interested in your thoughts. Keep up the incredible videos and great play.
Never give up trying to improve. 6 hcap but have just changed grip from Uber strong to neutral. Thought it was as far as I cud go without changing grip
Cool video Paddy starting from scratch an d not bashing balls the whole time is just mindless grooving a movement that might be wrong. Please show the correct grips wheather there is a change between iron or driver grip and the difference between a natural weak or strong grip is actually and how that will affect the clubface position on impact.
paddy i have a question i you could please help that would be great, im right handed and if i play my short chips with just my right hand they are all ok , as soon as i put both hand on i shank it , i cant work out what im doing wrong ?
Been off 19,18 & currently 17 for years.. hav had 100's of lessons & been to nearly every pro in the country @padraigharrington u probably know most of them!😅 so glad ur doing this as least this way its a guide from start to finish 🙌 yup the paddies 🇮🇪 ☘️
My favourite Paddy golf tip and thought: REAL GOLFERS DO NOT LOOK FOR GIMME'S. Sounds so obvious and basic but, I hear it everytime I'm on the course now!
I have been struggling this season, I went out today after watching this…I did this drill before every shot while waiting. Shot 39 for nine holes. 5 pars, couple bad swings did me in but I’m shocked on the difference it made. Thank you Mr Harrington! Got to see you in person last week in Newport!
Watched this on my lunch break yesterday, tried it on the course last night, birdied the 1st 2 holes. Hit 78, best ever, 6 over par and I'm a 12 handicap. Couldn't believe it. I'll be watching every video of this series.
You are the G.O.A.T. thank you for being real I seen you with Peter Finch and what you told him helped me to a better me so thanks and Love to see more!!!
Thanks for sharing your world class experience and advice Paddy. Your love of the game is fantastic. Your videos are really helpful and you vreak it down perfectly to keep it simple. Great job sir
Perfect timing, Paddy! I am so up for this… just reactivated the membership in my local golf club after 10 years of kids break. Actually the first time in my life I ever turnef on notifications on youtube. Let‘s goooooooo 🎉
My wife has been threatening me with starting to golf for a couple of years now and this year was it. She’s a fit 64 year old with good rhythm but I can’t get her to “swing”. Looks like she’s try to kill a snake most of the time. We’re both going to work on this together…🤞
Just by doing this exercise it’s synced my body and arms together again. I had completely lost that feeling. I’ve been all arms recently and this has got me back! Looking forward to the next video 😊
Padraig you probably don't read this but from watching your video on speed training and every one of your videos since I have gained 10 to 15 mile an hour so far to my driver now round the 113 mark and better control and today my first hole in one so thanks alot ⛳
This is fantastic, Can be very useful for warming up when you reach 3 min before your tee time 😊 get that rhythm going for a free flowing swing...thank you Mr. Harrington 🙏🏼
This was the most important thing I learned in my golf journey. Hundreds of hours of trying to find positions and be perfect until I realized I need to just swing the club naturally and comfortably. The only thing that can ever be perfect is the set up.
Followed you around Newport Country Club, couldn't get close enough to say thank you for this channel! You inspire all of us who'll all will be playing better!!
