By rewarching how was this game years ago, its amazing how the team improve on making this cutscenes in a game from 20 years ago, all of you deserve a big clap.
I won't lie to you man, seeing these updates literally brings me such a sense of peace. JKA was my favorite game for the longest time, and seeing this sort of mod with such cool implementations of characters, animations, camera movements, etc just bring such nostalgia from when things like JKG were under development and the modding scene had something new every day. Can't wait to play it.
Theres something that I've been wondering ever since this mod was first made. The Cutscenes in Jedi Acadamy are even if they are old, mostly fluent and work just fine. Your cutscenes are amazing too, but Stuttery sometimes (even though those new cutscenes are very smooth and I'm aware that you're a very small team working on this for free) So I was wondering is it because of the less man power you have for animating stuff like that. Or is there some very outdated developer tool that you can't have, wich they used to make the Cutscenes in JA? Again your cutscenes and the progress on this mod is amazing truly. I was just wondering how you make the cutscenes and how it differs from the Original JA Devs.
We're using the same tools. I think it mainly comes down to animation. We use a mix of JKA and custom-made animations in our cutscenes whilst the JKA cutscenes have animations specific to cutscenes (they were also made by professionals). Unfortunately, we don't have the time to fully animate every cutscene in the mod to capture every detail.
