Even though you didn’t list it in the “positive” side per se, I find myself intrigued by how you said the film does not encourage “passive” viewing…. That is one of my pet peeves with most Nollywood movies, the sense that they cater to passive consumption, and not really encourage the viewer to engage intellectually. So whether they got it all the way right or not, just the idea that they tried to do it makes me want to check this out!
Whew. That always makes me nervous. I think - and I said this when i made that switch - that I would not spend as much time on what works if it isn’t exactly noteworthy or exceptional. Cuz i used to spend a lot of time elaborating on things we should pretty much take for granted. Unfortunately, it can wnd up looking like i don’t say enough about what works. Decisions decisions. Hi Pearl, Thank you for your in-depth review as always. Just a general comment: the USA is the world's biggest propagandist. This is a dicey subject but suffice it to say I'll take their surveys/research with a pinch of salt. PS: Your paintings are beautiful. ❤
@@YeshuahIsKing Thank you. I agree. I am skeptical of everything US: Big govt, big pharma, big wars, funny politics etc. Hell, I don't buy butter without reading the fine print. That said, I trust those numbers far more than I'd trust a similar one from Nigeria. How do we gather data? I know America always has agenda, but so do we. And we are not even efficient at the falsifying LOL. We don't even know how many people we have in the country. But I hear you.
