Movie theme performed by simulated robot slide whistle orchestra. Plus bonus dual SID version

I was lucky enough to meet Mitxela a couple of years ago when he was demonstrating his wonderful robot slide whistle orchestra.
He has published a simulator and appealed for music. I thought this movie theme would work well and it does.
The MIDI file I started with turned out to work beautifully with MIDISID too, so there's a 2-SID rendering after the robot slide whistle version.

Thanks for that. Doing this kind of thing is so much easier than the things I normally do on the Sunday Jam, I feel that I'm 'phoning it in' a bit. I'm glad you enjoy it.

Oh boy, this is a tough one. I think it belongs to a police show of some kind. I will have to ruminate on it a bit.

Slide whistle orchestra? It’s awesome that someone took the time in the effort to make something like that. That simulator is pretty cool. I think it sounded better on the MIDISID though. Did you ever say what the movie was? It sounded vaguely familiar.

no , once again I deliberately held back because I didn't want to give a clue to the content checking robot but they spotted the melody right away. It's The Good The Bad and The Ugly, a top film.

I love to see and hear stuff like this, thanks. The SID version sounds better in my opinion. The whistles are a bit out of tune but I guess it has to be that way :-)

Thanks for watching. Yes, the slide whistle orchestra is very silly but that's what makes it so much fun. It's very hard to get in tune (the real one anyway) because even if the slide positions are perfectly accurate, the air pressure affects the tuning, and various factors make that unsteady. Mitxela is working on ways to improve it but personally I think the jankiness adds to the fun.

@@midi_inOn an episode of Magic Micro Mission (1983), the bloke who did Einstein A Go Go demonstrated his woodwind synth. It detected how hard he was blowing as well as the keys he was playing on it. Quite remarkable.
