Caterpillar displayed their electric drive 794AC mining haul truck for the first time at Minexpo 2016. Here's some footage of it moving out of the Las Vegas convention center after the end of the show.
its basiclly is concrete covered floors with dirt under it ,not some crazy thick layer of concrete.the floors don't break that easily, they distabute the weight around the truck
You won't appreciate how humongous this thing is until you see it in real life. I saw one for the first in my life last year.... It was so so gigantic. It's like a two-story building on wheels 😄
I remember when I was a kid my dad who rarely bought me toys got me a remote controlled skyscraper crane, yellow, just like this truck, and boy, I'll tell ya, it was the happiest day of my childhood life. Something about knowing that I can lift things, spin the arm, and gently bring it down somewhere else was such a fulfilling feeling:)
0:53 "Hey Steve, film this sick Ollie I'm about to pull in the forklift!" "Not now Dale, you can show us your Forklift Certified skills after we get a nice look at that dump truck".
I went to the 2004 min expo, what an amazing experience, I would recommend it to all fans of big equipment, nothing like this stuff here in S Wales,in G.B.
what a huge CAT Truck series 794AC... everything are new..newly assembled..a tough, uncompromising, intimidating...solid heavy duty truck... CAT Heavy equipment is one of the very best in the world...a badass heavy equipment..fantastic
@@Dimaz42 yeah I let my missus use it for groceries on the weekends. It's a breeze to load all the food and we don't have to worry about restocking for a month at least.
I interned at a lignite mine back in 2013. I thought the coolest but about the CAT 777's we were running was the actual ignition-startup process, i.e. pre-lube. Pneumatic starters that sounded like the a jet engine winding up really fast, followed by what sounded like a small explosion. The split second after the explosion noise dissipated, you hear the gurgurgurs of sweet idle.
Air start. Because the combined compression ratio of 16 extremely large, high compression diesel cylinders is way too much for any electric starter motor.
Its super fun bro but it gets repetitive and you get sleepy. Well aleast I did, wish I can take it back I would cherish it more because its very easy. Just long hours and gotta find good reference points to measure out distance not to drive on the berms. Also learn how to set up for the shuttles but other than that it is a ball bro. Happy I'm one out of a lot of people who drove em. You should apply yourself bro. Research Haul Trucking Mine Fields. Good Luck
Over where I am in Massachusetts they were doing an addition an extension to Route 128 other known as 95, they had to take off some ledge and blast a bit quite a bit actually and I remember they needed Riggs this big to move the boulders and rock out of the way. I know Volvo makes a similar dump truck like this but I really like this this must be a newer version that's definitely a real man's machine...
Son use to be a mechanic on these. Was climbing up the ladder and slipped. Lucky his foot got caught between rails and was hanging upside down lol These things are massive. Wii squash a Ute to nothing.

I drove one its so easy to drive. My favorite thing to do is pull the bar that was a break. Slide down the hill sideways drifting. Super fun Got laid off driving too fast before I went to shuttle. No one was around open feild. Got my experience Doe. Contract at Kennecott True Story.
Okay now THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME. That puppy is just massive!!! Back in 09’ I drove something similar but maybe a bit smaller. JUST LOOK AT IT!!!! BEAUTIFUL DUMP.
Definitivamente. No es que qiera hacer publicidad gratis. Pero es que Catepillar es la maxima exponente de estos moustros de metal cada vez sorprende al mundo con maquinas increhíbles.
I’m a mechanic and I’ve been working on both 793 and 795 trucks for years and they are pure garbage. Thank god the higher ups came to their sense and our mine bought Komatsu trucks and loaders instead.
I am impressed! People and small machineries on the ground are interacting with this beast with no high visibilty or barricading. This would be a huge No! No! in Australia! LOL!
Relax people, since these workers are all taking pictures, it means they just finished building it and they are simply getting some shots before it gets moved out of the factory for delivery. It is being moved. It must have been ordered by some Mega Construction Company or CAT just built it as a model to show its available for sale.
