I don't know if you're planning on eventually getting Canadian citizenship, but if you do, may I suggest that you consider becoming an immigration consultant. Given the wealth of your experience in this area and your understanding of the nuances involved in the process, I'm sure others would find your input very beneficial.
It’s a little bit harder right now because of the pandemic, but we have different hobbies and interests which helps. Mike golfs so has met people that way, and I’ve made friends through work :) We didn’t know anyone before moving!
