Here is the highly requested update on my experience since moving to Colorado from Florida 4 months ago! Enjoy & Follow me @BUBUTUBE on Instagram to catch some photos of my hometown / adventures almost daily! Thanks!
You moved from big city to small town, I came from Denver and it really is a shelter shock not having everything close by, but we love it here, it’s peaceful. I’m so glad you’re enjoying our state, you are very welcome here. Also I’m a stay at home mom, yeah never knew cabin fever was a thing until your at home day and night. I’ve been waiting for my kids to start school so I can finally get a job, even if I’m just bagging groceries, you are not alone it can get suffocating!
So helpful!! This video brought me to your channel and I watched the rest of your videos. I’m excited for more content from you! Your video personality is very enjoyable to watch. Really refreshing, and funny too. I’d love to see more content about your experiences in Colorado, things that are surprising to you, great places to go out, etc. Hope you’re still enjoying your new life 2+ years in! 💜
Thank you for your kind words!! 🥰 I would love to make an update… it’s been a little over 3 years now and just recently been thinking of moving again somewhere else.
Lol...LOTS of water! Lotion and chap stick, a Good lip balm actually!! Moved Here 15 years ago. From Laguna Beach, California. ABSOLUTELY Love it here. I'm in Castle Rock...took Me about a year to totally acclimate. It is so Beautiful and Easy to get to just about everything. Welcome to Our Awesome state...got to check out all the hot springs... Hiking is Great as well. Enjoy....😘🦌🌲🍻🎿🛶❄☀️
Moving to Orlando soon from Denver! CO is so overrated...I have kids and need more than mountains in my life....CO only attractions are, hiking, biking, camping..... None of which interest me and my family....we have done over a dozen mountain towns....they are all the same...CO is 😴 we moved to Denver from Houston, TX 2 years ago and of course it was exciting...in the beginning.... Now we sit at home on our days off trying to figure out where to go besides the mountains....looking forward to FL!
Moving to Colorado Springs from the Tampa area July 30th. It's more of a return home for me. I miss the Springs so much it actually has me sad to think I ever moved from there
I live in Western Colorado fairly close to where this RU-vidr lives. I'm opposite. Colorado native wants to move to Florida. Willing to trade homes lol. Lemme know 😆
Subscribed to your channel bro. Me and my gal is moving to Colorado in June. I’m from Illinois and she is from Corpus Christi by Padre Island. We are in Dallas, TX now, we can’t wait 🤣😂🤣😂 keep the videos going bro 👍🏾💯
Moved from VA to CO (7years here) now we are moving to Florida.. I miss the diversity, seafood and my family.. so happy to be moving back to the east coast! Enjoy the snow!
I'm sure I'll explore more states in my life time and if the east coast is what works for you, that's great! For me, its just all negative there so I know I won't be going back lol
BUBU TUBE I totally get it! My only advice is to make sure your car is winter ready and you have excellent snow boots! My first winter here I slipped and fell so much and it was a heavy winter! Snow almost to my knees! And I’m 5’6! I’m happy you found a place you love!
@@MsTiffanycb Winter has passed and it was great! I was terrified at first driving in the snow but I really got used to it fast. I love the season's and how it's all turning green outside now! It's awesome.
BUBU TUBE I still live up in NoCO an we got snow today.. not a lot but I would rather have a tiny dusting and be done Haha! What’s your take on Jacksonville?
Thanks for this video, I'm a Florida native born and raised as well as my husband and then he and I moved to NJ for the military. But now that he is leaving the service we are wanting to move to Colorado and we are trying to figure out the best areas to move and what the living cost and expenses are like there.
Yeah, you've got the Miami accent. I've never heard it until I was watching one of my (now) favorite RU-vidrs who is from Miami, and I first thought she was not born in America. I would describe the Miami accent as sounding like someone whose native language is not english....but coming somewhere from a latin American country and learning to speak english fluently and almost without an accent..but there is still something there.
Hola! I moved to Rifle in April from Georgia but I’m originally from Puerto Rico, born and raised. I have yet to meet a Puertorican or a Cuban person, it’s so awesome you’re both here. I was relating to the drive to get anywhere here and being so far away from Denver and the airport. Grand Junction has a lot more things but you definitely have to plan the trip. It can get so annoying being in the middle of nowhere. It’s so cold already and I am NOT ready for the winter...😳 I TOTALLY understand what you’re saying about the accent and specially when I speak Spanish, they ALWAYS ask where I’m from. Hope you find the job you want...good luck with everything! 😊👍🏼
Stumbled across your channel and these vids are nice! I myself am moving to Colorado after living in FL for several years. I am a mountain man at heart and being here in FL has purely been for family and school purposes. It's getting time for me say bye to FL in the near future.
Do the hike to the overlook tower at Devils head! not far from Castle Rock and has the most amazing view at the top. Also Amazonite and topaz can be found there
I love this. I’ve been in Florida my whole life, but I am planning to move to Colorado when I finish college. I plan to move to either Colorado Springs or Fort Collins. I’m so excited ❤️
You're welcome! I'm sure if your flying and landing very close to your destination moving any time of the year would be fine. In my situation, I had to drive a lot and through the mountains which gets very dangerous. I will definitely keep updating!
Que'bola! Hey Dude. I am from Miami too. I wanted to know how cold is the winter? I've lived in little Havana all the time. I want to move to Colorado since I'm done with school. Also are there good cuban restaurants?
Winter is different every year. This past winter the coldest it ever got where I live was - 10 degrees Fahrenheit & I didn't mind it with a good winter coat and thermals. Driving was fine with my winter tires in the snow and Spanish food here is mainly Mexican not Cuban which sucks. I've only seen ONE Cuban place in Denver and it wasn't that good.
You really have to ask why??? Miami is one of the worst places in the country to live in just look up worst city rankings online! Lol and yes I am very glad I made the move.
I have been thinking about moving out to Denver/Colorado Springs/or a smaller area, that may not be so far from Denver, especially the airport. I’m originally from NY, but have been living in Florida (Orlando area) for a bit. Do you recommend Colorado for someone who has seasonal allergies? (Pollen, stuff like that)
How perfect is this, I’m also moving from Florida to Colorado. I was looking for advice on what to expect when our family moves next month, so I searched “moving to Colorado” and found this. I’ve lived in Florida my entire life (mostly around Orlando, but the past few years in south Florida, and in the panhandle when I was in grade school) and am so excited to finally move to where there are real seasons. I’ve never felt good or healthy down here. I’m extremely heat sensitive, and the climate here aggravates my chronic illnesses. Plus all the mold and pollen in the air doesn’t help. I’ve visited Colorado a few times and haven’t had any problems (in fact, even when I was sick, I could breathe better out there despite the altitude difference) but only ever for a few days at a time. But the kids are actually excited about this move, seeing it as an adventure. That’s how I’m looking at it, too, I just hope we don’t have any problems adapting long-term.
I'm so happy you're making the move! I'm sure you are going to adjust perfectly fine! I'm still falling in love with the state every day and I don't regret anything at all. Moving away from Florida has made me a much happier person and the air quality here is amazing! My aunt came by last month and her allergies completely went away while she was here! She was in shock. Good luck with your move!!
BUBU TUBE Sorry for being slow, but thank you for the reply! To be honest, I’m mostly worried about not knowing anyone there. I have horrid social anxiety (I have actually gotten full-blown panic attacks from just trying to interact with strangers) but since I feel like I’m starting a new, better chapter in my life with this move, I’m hoping to overcome that and actually make a few friends this time around. (It’s hard, though, being friendly but too nervous to approach people, and talkative but also absolutely terrible with ‘small talk.’ Lol) But I’ve noticed people in CO seem friendlier. I guess I shouldn’t worry and, for now, I should just see how things unfold and go with it. Hopefully it’ll go as smoothly as I keep imagining it as being. If nothing else, I’m at least confident that my health should improve. XD Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s been super helpful to me. You’ve gained a subscriber
I was really looking for a video like this! I'm from Italy and I'm thinking of going to college either in Tampa, Florida, or in Greeley, Colorado (there's a small possibility that I'll go to Houston)... Right off the bat, which one would you choose? Like where there could be more possibilities in your opinion? Thank you SO much if you'll answer, I'm just very confused😅
I absolutely love your video and i found your story about your encounter with your neighbors to be hilarious! And i think people assume brothers because you both look alike and to them, they could perceive it as incest and thats not pretty but anyways, keep doing you!
I’m being offered a job in aurora Colorado I’m just wondering about how much can the whole trip would cost me how much do you think is the least someone should spend and have to get there .thank you for the videos very helpful
Gas is the only thing you can't cut corners on. Figure that out how much that would be if you're driving that is and then go from there. My trip I slept in my car and ate cheap fast food all the way saving however I could.
I'm from El Salvador but when I was a doolie at the Academy, everyone thought I was Mexican😂.....as an F-16 pilot assigned to Hill AFB Utah, I was also thought of as a Mexican...lol....don't get me wrong, I love enchiladas, tacos and tequila🤓
Also I don’t think anyone cares if your gay or not, remember Colorado was the first state to vote in gay marriage, that was before we got the giant rush of Californians, before Obama made it legal in all states. We are pretty open.
Hi my Friend I am raise in Miami "Hialeah" 😂... my wife and kids want to move there .. very tire of humidity rain and chusmeria I there in Colorado Springs latinos. Am from Uruguay my wife from Cuba and i love cold weather and mountains ... About Money compared is cheap there ?
You will find a lot of Latinos or Hispanics in Colorado! I’m one of them, born and raised in Colorado. Most of the Hispanic people you will encounter are from Mexico or of Mexican heritage, like myself. I don’t know if there is a lot of Latinos in Colorado Springs, but there are a lot us in Denver and the surrounding towns.😁 It is not the cheapest over here, but I would say it’s doable.
