FYI, Alberta has known for 8 months of winter, 2 months of rain, 1 month of odd mixed weather and 1 month of normal weather, planting seeds or plants is usually the 3rd week of May after the frost.

Our first choice was an apartment in downtown but just wondering if there are gradeschool within downtown. What is your thoughts about that?
Good choice in downtown as bow valley is walking distance,schools I’m not sure but sure if you drive is not a problem to drop your kids in school which is closed to downtown.

It’s better if you have letter of invitation,but if you think you can apply your own you need to make sure you have strong proof of letter why you want to come visit in Canada,yes you can convert visitor into a work permit if you have employer willing to give you LAMIA/possible you can study as well.good luck
