I’ve never seen a company come out of no where and release so many quality products so quickly, it took fanatec 2 years just to release a quick release
Agreed, no wheel, pedal set should ever cost a house payment. It's greedy and hopefully Moza can keep this hardware with in the current average sim-racers cost range.
I literally just bought the simucubes came in today. Prob going to regret it solely based on price. But I’m so glad this is happening so the prices drop and more ppl can afford these bc it def is a game changer switching to these
As R9+GS sim racer, Moza's low prices enabled me to afford DD sim racing...I started my racing with Xbox 360 wheel, Fanatec belt Forza Elite, then Moza R5 bundle, to the present R9. Sure, Simagic, Asetek are superior designs, but I could not afford them... Moza's rock solid hub and solid software works perfect for me!
I bought SRP pedals two years ago and have been debating some p1000’s for MONTHS. I’ll have to see how the active pedal looks price wise. For a full p1000 setup w/ haptics I’d be looking at $800 I think…but the rest of my gear is Moza so the it integration would be nice
@scottwoodtraining the CRP2s honestly look bomb... and I'm one critical dude, I'll see when I test them but they look promising, 200kg load cell, tool free adjustment.... option to upgrade to mBooster Active Pedal... like damn.
i got the Moza R5 bundle, because with al the things happening now with Fanatec As my first steering wheel i like it a lot and a good eco system Only thing with the lower end bundles is the pedals they need to make also R3 and R5 bundles with loadcell btw for beginners.. you recommend iRacing? or stick to assetto corsa?
For sure those mBooster gonna be at a lower price than the Simucube but I don't think they could be really "accessible" for most of us. As you say there is a lot of things to spend the money before to buy some like that. The CRP2 at 399 looks really great and put in risk my previous decision to get the P1000's from Simagic... As Simagic fanboy too I'm waiting for more information about the new wheel hub NEO style
I’m in the same possession with pedals…my SRP’s have treated me well for 2 years and the p1000 were almost certainly my next upgrade..the active pedal does change that thought a bit.
the ESX wheel is the same as the ES wheel that came with the R5 bundle BUT you can attach it to any other moza base to make it xbox compatible , the CRP-2 pedals look niice and the active pedals they are bringing out later has me drooling 🤤
Have to admit their active pedals have caught my attention so long as you can change their position laterally (I like my throttle and brake set fairly wide apart so both my legs are in a straight line). I'm also impressed with the quality of the Porsche wheel. It's not the sort of wheel I'd buy but it does look like a higher end offering to Moza's typically low to mid range hardware.
You are pretty spot on and definitely clued in on what's happening. Especially your point about moza trying to move upmarket and that comment about aluminum 😂. I think that went past most but that says a lot about this company though. Yes i agree it's good that prices have come down but let's be brutally honest... They make decent stuff for the prices but it's all copying. Let's not go overboard with the innovation thing. They copied simagic and Fanatec mostly. Most don't or won't care because it went for the entry level masses who couldn't afford stuff like this before and don't know enough to compare. And who wouldn't like to think they have the best stuff and made good decisions. I do want to say though that this doesn't encourage innovation. Competition is good, but i would respect them if they went about it like simagic.
If the Moza Active Booster pedals are not available at a reasonable price point it will be a shame. These hardware manufacturers are bleeding customers dry with prices. No sim-racing wheel or pedal set should cost more than $400 dollars. But today on the 2nd hand you see $750 to 2k for wheels and basic gas brake pedal. sets.
No wheel or pedal set should cost more than 400? What an obtuse statement. I guess in your world you should be able to pick up a new Porsche 992 for 20k?
