How can anybody not like this? One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written, and played perfectly. I guess 3 dislikes out of 37,704 views is - one misclick, one tone deaf and one lunatic.
Maybe the finest movement by Mozart ever, the mid section of 23, the beautiful adagio.... The rare F# minor, the only time he used it ever. (1786) So delicate, what sensitivity... And yes, Rubinstein performed this better than anybody... Respect.
In my opinion, the most magnificent part of this piece resides from 3:15 to 3:42. And that too, the phrase from between 3:35 to 3:42 is not music but god himself. Its the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.
I had this lp when growing up. I believe it's with the RCA Orchestra. Agree with others, one of the most beautiful pieces ever written and this is by far the best performance I've heard of it. The only other piece that compares with this is Bach's Passacaglia in C minor with E Power Biggs organist
I feel the version by Horowitz is too fast in this movement. Rubinstein's tempo is just right but the best of all is the beauty of his tone and controlled use of rubato.
