I got mine yesterday from eBay. I ordered it from a seller in Japan. I love it. They even corrected the over-engineered, fragile knees from the original MP-44.
The original MP44 is the most cartoon accurate, I do not understand TAKARA why since the days of MP01 back in 2003, 2004 they place silver stripes on the Optimus forearms the original G1 cartoon never had those gray stripes I thought they got finally rid off them when MP44 was released.
Did you like the toy version? It was always strange that colors from the cartoon didn't match the toys. It's like Takara & Hasbro like there own verison. Toy deco..🤔
@@NamyawReviews I do like all of the toy versions I think that both Takara and Hasbro do those not so subtle changes due to marketing its like musical bands when they play live any hit they most time change the sound of the song so that it does not sound like the álbum versión. But regardless I am still a huge fan of all G1 Optimus Prime iterations.
Mine coming in, in a couple of day. I didn’t get the first released MP 44. I did though picked up the KO . It’s not bad at all. Did not feel cheap. Have a good heft to it. Very nice piece. I can’t wait until this one get here. Thanks for sharing. 👍💯

1. So MP44S is basically MP49, with the mold changes made for it (no electronics, better knees)...but in the colors of toy Optimus. Even the box art is kinda similar. 2. I wonder why they ain't just use the "season 1 round head" as the de facto "toy style" head? The G1 toy and the Diaclone toy didn't have squared boxy heads... 3. Funny how they kept the axe and blast effect (which were both in MP49's box); one of the later reissues of the G1 Optimus did give him a Matrix, and I think an axe, too. No blast effect, though, neither version of G1 Optimus's ion rifle were molded with that in mind. 😂🤣
I might see if I can change eyes 👀 to blue from one of MP -44 heads. I heard there is suppose to be a reissue MP-44 soon...If that's the case hopefully the improvements will have been made.
Wow, there's a thing that I hadn't heard about. A reissue of the regular MP44? Not surprising, though - didn't they reissue the regular MP10 a couple times over the years after the initial release?
