Really great to see someone with your background getting into MPC vids. Regarding your ghost notes, I’d recommend that you play with your pad layouts a bit and try rocking 2 snares, 2 kicks and 2 open hi hats (set all your hats to a mute group). It’s not hard to learn to play your backbeat with one hand with the right layout and you can poke out those ghost notes (with their volume turned down to ghost)and poke anything on the offbeat with you other hand. And if you use slightly different samples it will shake up your variations a lot too.
Just getting started with Finger drumming and using MPC, your content has helped so much! Especially the specifics about practicing and learning the rhythms. Thank you so much for your time!
Ghost notes on pads are hard! I have two ways I do it: one is like you did with the hihat, just using an edited or a completely different sample, and the order is to route velocity to decay of the sound. The decay-velocity mapping really emphasizes the dynamic difference even if the pad isn’t super sensitive :)
Hey nice video! What would be the best groove box for a blind musician... that isn't old anough to work? I thaught it was the Circuit Tracks but you need an unaccessible software to upload samples and patches. The opz is cool but way to expensive and will blow my pocket money up.
When the (note repeat) button is held down, you merely hold down the high hat pad. The note then replays in succession depending on the quantise & the tempo
It’s an option but that takes you out of pocket playing and into programming. You’re also not able to jump back and forth between 2 hah samples in that case, which really helps with groove.
Hi I have akai 2000xl and mpd 26 controllers Its perfect velocity pad Now i took mpc live its good but compared to mpd 26 ets velocity and threshold are not good because when i play on triggers mpclive takes only above 30-127 velocity values am a live orchestra player iwant play hihates snare rolls ets..with very low dynamic range its not coming in mpclive i tryd to set in mpc live preference mode but not coming wt i want in recording we can adjust velocity values but when we play on live stage its necessary to play with velocity levels right .... So can u plsss help me how to set velocity wt a i want in mpclive or mpcone
i was wondering, will getting a pocket, recording it into a daw be a problem when I used maschine mikro mk3 ? they have a total of 8 ms. But i am guessing, when we use akai mpc one, I can record it to the daw without delay , or perform without delay ? I am using a UA apollo twin as my audio interface. would love to hear your thoughts on it. Also, could you show how to get samples like this and if its possible to perform this in pads....ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W9GVF2AqZO4.html
@@LiamKillen maschine mk3 has to be plugged in an when played there is latency. Meanwhile, mpc is like an instrument, standalone, and does not have latency right ?
