K, super weird.....you got thru ALL THAT...and we don't see you test the pads. ha ha ha come on man. I was waitin for you to bang on them and get yer impression. how were they. worth the effort? considering it....but [for the Live] but the process seems a little involved if the payoff isn't worth it.
If you go to my newest video you'll see me using the pads on a beat I made. As far as if it's worth it for the effort I put in, when it comes to sensitivity I didn't really notice any increase but aesthetics I feel like it looks better so it was worth it for me.
@@djgreenhornet2892 With the clear pads, does the light from the pads shine through and lights the entire pad, like with the Machine MK3 pads? Thank you.
How does this guy not have 100,000 subs? He has Intresting content, and a unique style to beats. He’s also super detailed and direct with his videos. I love watching your videos Del, you’ve inspired me for a while now to get an Mpc one. And keep grinding. I look forward to your videos from here on out 🙏🏼
welcome to the inverse castle Catlevania SOTN style that is youtube. Nothing here makes sense.... I know wxactly what you mean. I think people replaced TV with youtube so its the same nonsense.... all over again...
Lot of work for a cosmetic upgrade. I remember changing pad son my 2500 and 1000. You undo some screws, remove the front and side plate and then top shell comes off exposing the pads. Did this a lot to use Deoxit on the contacts. This is like an entire tear down.
i got the black edition, wish it was retro haha, but im considering getting the fat pads in red. How are they compared to the original? feel the same but look better?
dang bro you didnt hit the new pads once for us ... like a finger drum session to just showcase the feel and responsiveness or something ... lol i was looking forward to that part, but still very helpful video thx
No unfortunately this is one of my older beats that I made in FL studio sorry to disappoint LOL but I'm pretty sure I can make it in the MPC if I wanted to
Hi! When I press down on a pad, any pad, I can hear a sort of "sticking" sound, as if the actual pad is making that sound when pressing the sensor down. Now, I don't have any issues with any of the pads, they work wonderfully, but I'm just wondering if this is normal and if any of your MPC ONE units make the same sound?
No, I don't have any sticky sensation when hitting any of my pads. That's odd. I'm not sure what to do. Maybe there's some residue on the bottom, and you should disassemble it and see if you need to clean anything, would be my next step.
Lol yeah I was thinking it was going to be easy like the 2000 xl or an MPD but I had already gotten the back off and was like dang it's too late now I got to finish it out
Nice work but, he’ll na Kody!!!! I’d never be brave enough to be doing what you just did! Warranty, gone!! 💥 🥊 I might as well just take my mpc one and throw it off the 5th floor!!🤪
@@MediaMusik777 They should in theory as midi notes trigger on either. If I didn't have my 2KXL on my desk as my main midi controller for the MPC software vst I'd be using the studio MK2.
What midi keyboard is under the blanket dude? Edit: also gotta mention this, once you open up the MPC one case, you void your warranty. I recently had to send mine back to akai to get the Sd card reader replaced, I couldn’t figure out how to get the case open, so thankfully I still had the warranty on it. Just a warning for everyone
The longest I've run it is about 4 hours and it ran the battery down to about 65% it last a reasonably long time if you doing more than 8 hours you're going to have to charge it but it charges really fast
Did you notice any seals that would break? There's some companies that put stuff like that so they know when you've opened the device and refuse to make your warranty valid after (even if it has nothing to do with what you did). Been meaning to upgrade my pads too.
I got the big knob off of eBay if you search big knob MPC one you should find it. The little knobs I had extras from when I owned a MPD 26 so if you can find a older model Mpd or mpk you should be able to get the knobs off of there
@@hpfm3307 www.ebay.com/itm/194270615771#vi__app-cvip-panel It's saying that the knob is discontinued I don't see it anywhere else though this is who I got it from

Did this change recently? Right now I'm seeing the Retro's as the same price as the regular black model. I noticed a big price jump on the One's, but at least now the Retro's $900 just like the other color. Could have sworn they were $700 a few months ago? If so, that's one hellova price jump.
@@Bigheadedwon yes the price went up on the black and gold model the retro is still the same but if you go to b&h they have a black model at the 799 price still.
@@autoxmatic1594 Suply chain for computer chips went way down, which makes prices go way up. I did some Googling, and the new price hike happened literally 2 days before the One I just ordered yesterday - go figure lol. But I ordered the Retro which was already $899, so I suppose I should be greatful Akai didn't bump it up to $999. If I'm not mistaken when the Retro 1st came out it was only $799, but that was like a year ago I believe. And originally they claimed it was going to be a limited edition. Yet a year later it's still easy to find lol. Suppose it was a good way to justify the price difference. When I buy something electronical 1 of 2 things almost always happen. 1. price drop shortly - so I expect the One's to maybe go back down to $799 after a month or 2. 2. they release a totally new model out of the blue. Or a enhanced version of the 1 I bought. Since the One's only about 2 years old my predictions a $799 MPC One MkII before too much longer.
Did you look at my other videos before jumping to conclusions I made a completely different video with the new pads making a sample beat this is clearly just a installation video 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😬
