Love the video.....my Mpc one can be a mad experiment whenever I need to do something different. I like your idea of the stickers for the Mpc.....I ended up putting console tape all over my Mpc and writing on it. I'm not a yr into using the Mpc one the darkness of the unit is unreal lol I know all the buttons by heart now but I often use a led light which adds a vibe to when I'm working in the dark.....
I have my Live2 in a flight case with all cables and shit In it. Makes it easy to use it in the car while waiting for kids to be done w their activity. Just did it again today and I had a blast. I have been exploring sample packs and plugins in a way I seldom do when in the studio. I have one external drive for moving projects back and forth to the PC where a Touch is hooked permanently. I wish Akai would allow a Studio Black to act as a peripheral for a Live2... all buttons and arrows and locate bar... one may dream.
I suggest adding cup holders to the side of your desk away from equipment. I split an entire latte over my MPC live 2 🤦♂️. I sent it in to "mpc stuff" and they were able to get it going again! We upgraded to FAT red pads and silver knobs. It looks lovely 😍 and the FAT pads are dope to play on.
Magic&shell volume control switch knob $8 on amazon. This provides infinite scrolling compared to the standard knob. DESIGNA Metal Mesh Ventilated Adjustable Laptop Stands $30 on amazon. It's a laptop stand for the mpc one with chord management option. Get at least one micro SD card, thumb drive, external ssd, or network attached storage. The headphone discussion is worthy of a separate video.
@@CREATEEDUCATEINSPIRE I haven't gotten a set yet. I've been out of work since before I got my MPC. I used money from the sale of one machine for it, so I haven't really been able to justify spending extra dough currently, but I'll say that I've been hearing for years and years that the fat pads when it comes to every iteration of the MPC make a huge difference when it comes to finger drumming
