It’s funny because 3 days ago a Mpc group I’m in on facebook popped up a question what new features would you want in the Mpc software. And this is what I had said. Now it’s here. Speak it into existence 😅
Akai just keeps killing it constantly!! Started with maschine in 2012, absolutely fed up with ni. Sold the plus weeks ago, because the live 2 is just a beast. Best piece of gear I have ever owned.
@deathknell5167 i have mpc x which i use with software and in standalone. You dont need anything more other than 3rd party effects and plugins at most.
@deathknell5167That’s not totally true, hardware is still very relevant. Many companies went totally software based and people wanted hardware. The best is using both, hybrid !!
Well after 30+ years I'm still using hardware, in combination with software. Don't listen to anyone that says hardware is "outdated" that is absolute nonsense. 🤦♂️It's actually impossible to be completely software based anyway. Microphones, preamps and audio interfaces are all pieces of hardware 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ so is the computer for that matter. 🤷♂️ The MPC ONE is basically a portable computer. It's runs very complex software and works in much the same way as a DAW...in fact it is by definition a DAW 🤷♂️
@@RobG_inMusicBrands Hi Rob, any chance that inMusic Brand can make all those new plugins like Jura and Delay Pro available for manually download like the previous Synth Content Manager? As a MPC ONE user it bothers me a lot when there’s no Ethernet connection around. Pls make it happen soon, thank you.
@@DaBuddyComToXyup, as well as serato sample, and FL Studio now..... Seems like all the companies are implementing stem separation now... I'm Not sure how far back stem separation technology goes, But I've been using it since isotope RX7 a few years ago
The official web page says that the feature will be launched in March. Only 8 days left in the month and no indication that it's actually going to be launched this month. What's the hold up?
Dear Akai please tell me you will create an MPC live 3? My Live 2 is so comfortable and the best thing ever. When I travel and even on my desk it sits perfectly. Please don't change that. I really hope other MPC live 2 users will agree.
🔥 I know that this has been possible forever with other software etc...but....to have this be a part of the MPC worlflow now....omg!!! Game changer for me!!! I just had about 1000 ideas come into my mind during this 10 min video!!! Great work!!!!
Akai is starting off the new year with a bang! Can't wait for stems to make it to the Force. Chopping the sample once & converting it to other stems while keeping the chops also works for other processes like converting stereo samples to mono-L Sum, & mono-R. Still wish it could change samples in real time like the Sound parameter in the Drum program editor like JJOS 2XL. Anyway this powerful update gives me hope that a higher quality Reverb FX & better Wrapping may come later.
Having seen this demo, I'm hugely looking forward to seeing how this changes and builds upon my workflow. All the best for this roll out - as others have already said, this might well be yet another game changer. Cheers all!
Akai is just killing it! Crazy how a hardware company has adopted and integrated software so well. Meanwhile, us Maschine and Maschine + users suffer with little to no updates. Congrats Akai.
Great! Thanks! There's one thing very very very important that MPC series does not have. VU METER!!! Please put a plug inside of a VU METER!!! A normal VU METER with selectable volume like -18 -15 -12 ecc for mixing and also with RMS selectable scale for mastering. Hugs!
Just when I didn't think could love my MPC more. I don't even do a lot of sampling, but with stem separation, that might change. My only hope is we will get this as part of an update, instead of having to spend another $100 for another plugin.
Much appreciated to receive an update that expands the core features and although it seems like there are not many controls it looks thoughtfully designed. 🎉
Always wanted a MPC but back then prices was anything up too £2,000 (ouch) until now so i recently purchased my 1st ever MPC One + 😀just getting to grips with it. Just a though here...Maybe Akai could add a update work around for adding VST plugins inside as that would be awesome.
A great day indeed! I’ve been using it to study the samples. It gives me insight on how and why the hits are the hits. A little insight on how the magic happens. Thanks
Akai is ahead of the game at the cutting edge for releasing this new STEAms already implemented for Pioneer I just gonna ask is still obtainable for the MPC ONE or it's exclusively for MPC LIVE???
Amazing. PLEASE add the option to stem out sample chops to the 4 sample slots of the pads within the same program. Having separate programs for each stem layer is great but not always ideal. The added flexibility of my request makes sense for this feature.
@@drfangaz-pronouncedlikefan4019Other users in the community have expressed interest in seeing this implemented for obvious reasons. For instance: You may not want or need this degree of separation every time you chop a sample. You may just want the drums removed and process/sequence the rest of the sample more traditionally as one program in order to avoid having to mix/master/automate four separate programs the same way. In standalone this would be tedious and may eat up valuable cpu/ram.
Wow is all I can say. This is going to be a game changer. I've used seperate software for doing this for quite a while but having it built in will be amazing. Can't wait to try it out.
@@undagroundvangerzmusic This kind of software has been around for a long time though. La Lal AI, RipX etc. Just will be great to have it built into the MPC itself.
@@CodySmiley Yeah lol source separation has been around for a little while. I'm surprised this wasn't priority before. If I were Akai, I'd have tried to be first with this
@@blakasmurfUsing a parametric EQ or filters with panning is how it was done in the past. Masking has come a long way towards making things stand out. Phase cancellation worked ok for centred sounds like vocals (old skool). Now it’s easy with Rx
@@FloydRunner2049 This is a complete AI implementation now. So it's much cleaner than how we "used to" do it. Even better than what Izotope Rx had a little while back. But it's been around since 2020. I'm surprised Akai wasn't on this first. Serato's had it for at least a year now as far as I know
Seems that it won't even come to the MPC software until the end of March, if it doesn't end up being delayed or scrapped altogether. The official website states that it launches in March. We're more than halfway through the month and no sign of it's release.
I am crying inside and out. MPC just change the game. Well done and thank you for what we all wanted. Who is staying in the lab for months with me when this comes live. I am speechless.
That's amazing. I do this a lot with the Deezer algorithm on the Desktop, as well as using the capabilities of Izotope's RX line of products. But this... in hardware form? What a game changer!
Your passion for teaching and your dedication to my growth has inspired me in ways I cannot put into words. Thank you for shaping my career.God bless. Slim from Uganda
Uhhh how do they do this? Flawless separation of sections with overlapping frequency responses. I'd have buyer's beware and I'd test well before buying not all conversions will go that smoothly
As a MPC X owner, i would suggest using Microchip AT42QT1012 for the tab tempo button and make it touch, to make it far more accurate. the clicking of the current button isn't doing it a favor, when you're trying the find the accurate beat of a techno song.
Its my birthday today this announcement is the best birthday gift ive ever dreamt of i can wait to use this this is going to take my music to a whole new level! I enjoy the hell out of my mpc live 2
@@HarmonicRezolution I put on an open mic in my town for electronic music and the standard is really high. There are plenty of highly original artists creating some great music out there and they're just not getting noticed coz of the algorithms loving the same old generic music. Electronic music open mic is a fantastic way of escaping that and giving unique talent a chance to be heard - and for us to hear them!😊
@@MyNameJeff..Atlanta is in the center of black culture and I am tired of all the genocide music. The young producers won't be making trap music using samples and won't even know what the sample. That's why I said Atlanta needs this. What current music out today that has not been effected by Atlanta Hip Hop?
Great! I started with MPC Software and will go down with it as well..yes you can do amazing things in Ableton but where is the fun of exploring things? Forcing yourself to figure things out? I produce, mix and master only in MPC Software and happy with it 🤷♂️
I'm absolutely stoked. I ordered the MPC X SE (expecting to receive it in February.) This makes my upgrade that much more justifiable. I love my 5000 but it's time to get with the time
Really a Game-changer tool! Akai is the only manufacturer that still think about sampling a genuine creative way! The other brands just make toys! The only thing that still miss in the Akai hardware (as stand-alone), is a good reverb effect. With stems and a nice reverb MPC's would be the best samplers of all times!
As a MPC user I started straying away from MPC and more towards fl just bcuz workflow was faster. Always been more creative on MPC and this changes the game for me again. Hope it comes as an update
I've had this idea in my mind for more than 15 years, back when I was on the MPC 2000 classic. Crazy how it's finally a reality. There have been sooo many samples I’ve come across that had dope drums on them but never had an open drum break to sample them. This is a definite game changer for Akai and MPCs.
Funny enough the "Iconic MPC Workflow" seems to be a point of contention for many. I bought an MPC One and my god this thing is HARD and unintuitive to work with. I've been a designer of interfaces for professional applications for 20 years and yeah you can "get used to MPC workflow but it's by no means a quick and easy learning curve. Heck there's MPC youtubers literally making videos about learning the workflow, and still themselves taking YEARS to get familiar with the basic workflow enough to create beats the way we see Ableton Push artists do
I think some of it is sunk cost fallacy. Or whatever is the tool you started with, that's the one that becomes intuitive. Would love to hear about whats the issues with MPC vs Ableton workflows (I dont know either one)
This brings me tears of joy... for all my fellow beat makers and producers out there, who have came across that one sample that had everything in it that they were looking for to make a game changing beat, but couldn't due to the limitations of taking apart a sample, and the closest you came to it was using a plugin that lowered the sounds of drums and it STILL sounded like sh*t.... please, do your thing, and do what you work with justice. It's time for us to do the things we couldn't before. Now, we can dig up those samples we couldn't use, and the possibilities are endless. Thank you Akai.
i know many questioned it: will it be available for MPC One or should i go for live mk II to get STEMS ? or will akai do it like elektron - at first the recent products, like MPC MKII and later the "older" versions like MPC ONE
