As of the current software there is no way to control the mpc as a multi timbre device externally live. Doing enables on dif midi channels set to tracks(pads) will just make the current pad favor instead of layering the tracks(pads) as a multi timbre synth would do. Can it be used in this way now with this update? Thats what I would love to know. :-)
At this point, there's no reason to even think about using a DAW anymore (except to maybe use other 3rd party VST's/plug-ins). This is revolutionary. So many people are probably gonna jump back to using hardware instead 😂 P.S: If the MPC Bible receives an update in correspondence to the new features in the MPC 3.0 update, will everyone who purchased the previous version have to buy it again?
We need to be able to mute tracks per sequence for song mode like we ALWAYS have been able to do. This has to be a bug. If I want to mute the bass on track 1 sequence 1 then I should not affect the bass on track 1 sequence 2. I just don't under stand the logic in this change.

Hello, I have mpk mini and when I hit 16-level as shown in the tutorial, it only works within the mpc beats and the pads on midi doesn't update. How can I fix this?
I fixed it, many people seem to have the same question so here is the fix: Go to edit>preferences>midi/sync then enable master and control for the midi input. Hope this helps.
So, an Arranger view, Disk Streaming and the ability to change the plugins order in exchange for switching Programs, Track Mutes per sequence and having different tracks in different sequences. Hmm... I need to think about that.
💡Longtime MPC users are unhappy about what happened to track mutes and programs. The rug has been wiped from under our feet despite the many great new features. This has damaged the classic workflow. A simple and elegant solution to complement the new design and features for all users, old and new, would be to address it in the preferences section. Give us the option to have track mutes behave per sequence and programs function separately from tracks like they do in 2.15 and every MPC for the past 36 years. 🤦🏾♂ If the MPC has to restart, add a pop-up window that says "Are You Sure?" and give users the option to save the project before restarting. This way we can keep the exciting new design that offers a DAW experience without killing the classic legacy workflow that got us here in the first place.
@AkaiProVideo amazing update! You guys should also bring back the 9+ GB factory content that came with MPC Software v1 as well as the 809, the Bank, the Noise and the Wub plugins. Akai Pro rocks!
Please, Akai, don't get rid of the old workflow. A good update should always build on the existing one, not replace it with something completely new. The best thing would be if you kept both the old and new workflow. So please bring us back the ability to switch programs within tracks and fix track mute and song mode. Overall, I think this update is great, but I've seen other videos where it seems like it might actually make working harder, not easier.
This is incredible!! The UI/UX work done here is just outstanding!! You guys truly listened to the people and I personally can't wait to download the beta!!! NOW PLEASE!! AUDIO OVER USB TO DAW ROUTING!! It's like with this update and adding audio over usb to daw.... It's a done deal at that point So glad I own an MPC live 2 👊🏽🙌🏽 For real though! With a Mac you can choose whatever instrument devices that can send audio and audio interfaces, creating a custom aggregated device in the audio midi set up Right now I have the - Soundcraft MTK 22 - Roland TR 8S - Drumbrute - MPC Live 2 So with the MTK and the tr8s I can over usb, send all the tracks from the 8S into ableton then send it into the MTK console... Now if the MPC Live 2 later has this feature... the routing capabilities would be just incredible. The workflow would be insane... Right now my MPC is controlling the Brute and the 8S. Though once I go into controller mode for it to become an interface it stops the external gear control.. Audio over USB to DAW Please!!!!
Such a good update but why are the midi notes still red instead of the colour of the strip? Only adding colour to the strip is less helpful than changing the midi note colour
4 real so long og mpc. Dawn of this erra. Lets gooe. How to hold on to the style hard to let go of. With updates its hard to hang on to that past. Just better to move on. With each new becoming new classic old classic. Leave it to akai to show how to do it.
if you import the midi to Logic and play, the MPC still is playing from the sequence on the MPC. So I have one 8 bar midi region in place on a Logic track with the MPC plugin so it can control the MPC in controller mode but its still plays after this 8 bars because the MPC continues to loop the sequence on the MPC.

Yo tuve un problema, ingreso en un modo sin haber tocado nada que parecía un modo de prueba. El primer fader controlaba los 64 botones en Rojo. El segundo fader controlaba los 64 botones en Verde. El tercer fader controlaba los 64 botones en Azul. RGB. Era un modo genial la verdad pero ni idea como ingresé en ese modo, y solo servía para eso. El problema fue cuando abrí mi programa para usarlo, NO ME ENCENDÍAN NINGUNO DE LOS 64 LEDS. Hasta hoy en día sigo con ese problema, preste mi control a un amigo. Le pasó lo mismo y creo que al bajar o subir los faders por completo ya no se enciende el color que controla ese fader, así que ahora solo me funciona el verde y azul. El rojo no me funciona, y ya entre en el modo Drum, Note y no encuentro el problema.
FINALY!!! Of course we will still finish our arrengment in ableton But is gone to be so helpfull!!. THANKS AKAI A LOT! I still have some request!? Do we have in the 'arrengement mod ' a zoom in loop ? Very helpfull for making very precise break. And more we need the full access of our MPC In 'Controller mod'!??? Or just being able to manage the midi output straight to a program?! I Think we currently all buy a midi interface.
@AkaiProVideo I use my Live II for drums as I play keyboard for the praise team. The thing I’d love to see happen is increasing the polyphony of the virtual instruments to at least 128 voices. In the words of Andy Mack, this would also raise live and production use to a whole new level. If polyphony were much greater, I would use the awesome virtual instruments for live playing…..basically I’d use the MPC for a sound module. This would open the door to an entirely new clientele. Please do this….🙏🏽
