14 mpg is what I expected…They aren’t bad, the 2v is quite efficient especially compared to the old 5.0 pushrod…Is it up for sale yet?? How many miles on it as of now??
Maximizing low end torque is what maximizes MPG (where the normal drive RPMs are most of the time). Putting too large stuff on any application may actually decrease low torque and hence MPG, but all other things being equal, removing flow bottlenecks with CAI and headers should probably make it better with an optimized tune due to more power for same fuel
15 mpg is not good, but it's a V8 manual. Didn't get it for fuel mileage. Got it for the stick and the right foot pedal. Haha, thanks for the video. I want the V8, but gonna have to get a v6 for the commute. I'm fine with that. Planning on getting a keeper. All mustang parts are bolt on. Can 5.0 swap a v6 anytime.
@@RobertDickens2002 mine has a bbk x pipe, not sure if offroad, was done by prior owner. New cats and after a week of driving the light went off on its own.
@@hermanrogers1325 People remove cats and when you remove cats check engine light stays on... emissions control and EPA say you have to have cats on a car. Once you remove cats oxygen sensors rather removed or on don't work right anymore so computer sends the emissions code and check engine lights forever on. Also it's bitch to get inspection sticker without cats, but there's inspection stations that don't give shit and as long as you know them or somebody they will put sticker on mustang for you.
When you want a mustang and attempt to justify the MPG as competitive. I get about 16MPG out of mine(I tested it lot the first year) that's reality not that one good tank where I it and kept it at 2k rpm at all times on interstate driving 4-5 hours one way. That said I bought new accord for my wife few years ago and it gets 35MPG consistently. I tend not to even bother with MPG but my wife... she wants to calculate it every fill up. I find it useless because it doesn't matter need gas to go and I know my mustang and taurus SHO both gets shit MPG. lol
I had a 2021 GT Premium with a manual MT82 transmission. Complete garbage! I could put up with the plastic interior, engine tick and the glitchy electronics, but the drive train was garbage. Kept the GT for 2 months and unloaded it....was a pile of junk. Bought a real car from another manufacturer with a standard TREMEC couldn't be happier...FU FORD! BTW - if you did buy this POS with a MT82 you can join the class action suit!
Interesting.. never driven the new manual, but my f150 has the 10 speed automatic and it’s fantastic I would probably go with that if I was in the market for a new one
