Mr. Sakurai Is King! I've been his fan for a long time now! He's as close to Page's playing as you can possibly get, even Page didn't play this like this every night!
There are lots of Zeppelin tribute bands. Many of them great. NONE have gone this far though... This is next level stuff. At times I forgot this wasn't the actual Zeppelin.
During the late 60s and thru the 70s, I grew up with Led Zeppelin as my Bible. When TSRTS came out, my buddies and I snuck in to Century theaters and watched it over and over. I was 13 back then, I'm 60 now and these guys are the closest thing to Zeppelin I've ever heard. Unless I count Dread Zeppelin...
Great job. I really enjoyed this. But let's not forget that the real Jimmy played the best Dazed and Confused on July 27th 1973. No one can replicate his playing that night.
What can I say, it's to die for! on this ultra long and complex piece everything is absolutely perfect down to the smallest detail. if you listen to the guitar track almost impossible to tell the difference between Page and Sakurai. and I'm not even talking about the incredible physical resemblance, body language and stage outfits. And, of course, he performs all of Led Zep's repertoire on this stellar level. Just mind-blowing!
@@rickyjiggens2180 He's not singing in his native language man...give him a break. He did a phenomenal job and has the tone and range. Try singing rock music in the Japanese language in front of a crowd with an old microphone, no lyrics on paper with lights in your eyes and no auto tune.
Holy crap this is a really accurate recreation of a combo of the film and the album. The outfits, the mannerisma and vocal mic included (it's really hard to find one of those vocal mics, so I'm extra impressed with that). These guys did a great job. Anyone who has listened to TSRTS a million times like I have will be thoroughly blown away by this. The guitarist is now playing with Jason Bonham's Led Zep experience and he deserves the gig. He's doing a better version of Page than Page could do post 1975. Really guys......this is INCREDIBLE. Kudos to the folks doing lights, cameras, editing and sound too. Just amazing.
I have to add, this is by far the most accurate tribute band I've heard of ANYONE, and I've come across some really great ones over the years. I would pay money to watch this in person.
Dischargedarrow Getback - well said. Other bands copy, these guys are like an ultra sonic, carbon clone, DNA type of identical twins of Led Zeppelin. What really got me was that he even reproduced the same mistakes that Jimmy Page made on TSRTS. It’s otherworldly really.
@@itslikethesamebutdifferent8020 We are birds of a feather.....we both know the Zep material well enough to know where the mistakes are.....and of course, you're right, Mr Jimmy is uncanny with his execution
Chile es un grand país de Sánchez, Valdivia, Isla, Jara, Beaucejour, Bravo. E tanbien amamos lo Universidad de Chile, Colo colo, Palestino, Huachipato, Cobreloa e Union Espanola!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔
Same old equipment, same guitar models and years, same old Marshall Amps, same effects pedals and manual tape delays....TONS AND TONS of analyzing and practice.... TALENT....SKILLS....a fantastic ear....a incredible ability for memorizing music.....a real love of Page's compositions and a burning PASSION FOR PLAYING THE GUITAR. That's how. The best Page like player in the world.
Amazing! The guy imitating Jimmy Page I mean come on people? Simply amazing! he got the impression down to a tea of the live performance of Dazed and Confused", among other things!
Hear me out - Led Zeppelin is not here anymore, and Jimmy Page has not been able to play like this since the year of heroine (1978). I would actually like to hear these guys create their own interpretations of this music. Zep kept innovating until their very end, and it would be great to hear what incredibly talented people who have perfected the sound do with it without being a photocopy of the 1973 band. This much talent should not be beholden to the 'notes' - they should follow the spirit of the band. Look what Dead and Company did for 10 years. I would love to hear Mr. Sakurai let loose and create interpretations of this and create new music!
This is incredible... Wow! Jimmy Page was an incredible song writer, showman and producer but on his very best day he couldn't play the guitar this well. Mr. Jimmy is from another planet.
If this was recorded 4 years, it would gave been Frankie Banali playing drums.... Doesn't look like Frankie in the video and not that it matters.... ( R.I P. Frankie Banali )
The detail. Anyone fan of Zeppelin knows there was a ton of editing done for the movie. The guitarist had to sift through all that to almost perfect it. I'm blown away and I hate Zeppelin tribute bands. Much respect and the singer did the best he could, he's a good singer he's just not Percy.
