Ive had this game for 5 years and I’ve never cared to inquire on what MR kulve taroth is, I’ve only focused on safi. With the back to world stuff and the game gaining more popularity this is exactly the video I need, thank you
I'm having so much fun returning to this game. I played at launch for a few weeks then quit, can't remember why. Made it to high rank and I think I ran out of things to do. Playing it now it's just so damn fun hunting monsters. I really took the time to learn most of the weapons so things never get boring because each weapon is so different from each other. Haven't fought Fatalis yet, I'm just taking my time going through all the content I missed out on.
Oh my goodness!! Welcome back to World, Lord 😃!! I discovered your channel from your showcase video of Alatreon Dominator lbg 😊! Great guide, LV!! Hope to see more
maaaaaaan mhw is my first time in the series and i have 250 hrs. i am absolutely blown away by how crazily complex this game can be. i feel like ive barely scratched the surface even now
Despised the terrible dps check when first playing World, and coming back to it again, I still despise it now. I pray that gimmick gets left behind and buried in Wilds. It ruined a great fight with this monster. The rng design for this fight when grinding for the weapons was also criminally atrocious. The way it was handled with safi-jiiva is how they should've done it here.
As I near my thirties I find myself less and less interested in gaming. I now look at my huge backlog of unplayed games on Steam and not bat an eye anymore. The guilt is gone and I made peace with the fact that I probably won't ever play all my games. I don't fomo buy new games either anymore. Palworld? pass. Spiderman 2? pass. BG3? PASS. I could never do that a few years ago. The ONLY franchise that I keep coming back to is Monster Hunter. There's peace in this game that I can't describe. I can play it for hours and hours without getting bored or tired. Put an RPG or a single player story game in my hand though? I'm Alt F4-ing in less than 20 minutes. I used to love RPGs. I don't know what it is about this franchise. I love slaying the same monsters over and over again and getting slightly better every time, going on expeditions and capturing wildlife, responding to SOS from new players, getting help from more experienced players. There's real comradery in hunts. I hope MH never goes away and I can't wait for Monster Hunter Wilds. Thanks for sharing this guide.
Greatsword main here, trying to fully play through and appreciate high rank before starting master rank again! Kulve taroth is part of this journey, but it’s been difficult to find lobbies running the siege event. And since only the arch-tempered quest is available, it’s been kind of difficult to solo it. I really don’t know what I’m doing, though, but I really would love to complete my journey with my huge sword and not a bowgun. Any tips?
yeah AT Kulve is designed to be a group siege mechanic, really hard to do in single player, even with Master Rank equipment. I'd recommend looking for a KT grinding discord or something where you could get a group or lobby to run it together!
I need to build myself a heavy bow gun. I've been trying to play everything in the game with SNS before I expand out into my other weapons, but she has been so hard to get good enough damage on with SNS stubby t-rex range.
Chest and arm tenderize before wall bang would break the gold plating on those parts almost instantly. But your claw reposition would tight due to only having one claw ATK if you want to wall bang twice before enrage.
yeah it helps get the break quicker, if you're playing in a group it's worth going for. it's a tall order in solo to try to get 2 tenderizes and 2 wall slams by yourself
yes! because you can use the materials in the Kjarr melding to meld as many weapons as possible, instead of only getting a limited number of weapon rolls per completion of the HR/AT version :D
if you’re in MR, I wouldn’t really worry about HR siege Kulve. you can meld weapons at the melder at guaranteed rarity 8 with MR parts. not worth the RNG fest of the HR siege
@@LordViettnerNo, I’m in HR. I don’t have the DLC. Everyone’s telling me that normal Kulve no longer exists and was replaced by an Arch-Tempered verison, and all the guides on it are from what I assume is before that.
@@davidhower7095 yeah i think that's true, AT KT is the only siege available in HR. any of the older guides should work fine, since you don't have iceborne anyway!
Just started playing MHW this month. Are the Kulve weapons better than the Safi weapons? Right now I am building up my Safi switch axe and also using an R.Brachy weapon.
usually for element the Kjarr weapons are better, there are some fringe cases where Safi weapons (or even the Taroth weapons, and Alatreon for some dragon weapons) are better than Kjarr, but for element it's about a 99% chance you're good going with the Kjarr
@@Mad-Slick if you want, paralysis isn't "meta" for raw, if you're not to fatalis yet and want good raw weapons the Raging Brachy weapons tend to be best (or at least top 3). Kjarr is best for element, not as great for status
shrieking legiana's bow is very good for ice damage, probably that with either 5 piece safi or 4 pieces of Silver Rathalos and the garuga b legs (assuming you have any of those)
@@LordViettner Thank you brother for the info!!! I apriciate it! I have Sil Rath + Garuga B and the bow. Been trying yesterday but failed due to too less dmg lol. Prolly need more practise and better jewels. Keep up the great work!
Kulve Taroth and Safi’jiiva are the only quests still on rotation, so for 2 weeks it’s KT then for 2 weeks it’s Safi. I believe Safi is active right now, so it’ll be about a week or so until Kulve is back
@@LordViettner aaah okay i thought so cause i found it strange that cant choose either taroth siege and safi at hub. Big sad need to grind kjarr weapons >.>
@@GrobGob_GlobGrod you can use those to make weapons at the melder, but you need the master rank materials to upgrade the weapons to their master rank versions. the master rank materials also give you more points at the melder too, making it cost less materials to meld weapons
@LordViettner Thank you! It's very nostalgic. And thank you for the guide as well. Just got the game and dlc recently on pc. The guide really helped against KT.
it's not available right now, it rotates every 2 week with the Safi'jiiva siege. Should be back this week either Thursday or Friday? If Safi's available, Kulve isn't, and vice versa
it's an event quest, it rotates every 2 weeks with Safi'jiiva. If the Safi'jiiva siege is available, Kulve is not, if Kulve is available, Safi'jiiva is not
Why cant I find anyone who does this quest in base game? Or am i doing something wrong? Could someone Tell me I would Like to Fight this Monster with a group
no you can do Kjarr or Kulve alchemy at the melder to get the weapons, just like I explained at 7:05 you use your HR or MR materials to meld up to 3 per meld, and you can meld till you run out of materials. Then you use MR kulve materials to upgrade them at the smithy :D
There is another way to get that golden dragonphire..by helping LR/HR can get gold ticket or gold eggs..cant remember..smelt that..will get golden dragonphire..
because Safi'jiiva is out. Safi is out for 2 weeks at a time, then Kulve Taroth is out for 2 weeks, so on and so forth. They're the only 2 events that still rotate
I never understand why game developers make it that solo has more hp then the multiple player versions. Like solo is half the health of the 4 player version wtf??
it's so when you hunt in a group it's faster if everyone does their job. Why hunt in a group if you can get the same or better speeds solo? the point is to make it rewarding to play in a group by being able to kill things faster :D
One big point is the constant damage. If it was 1/4th the health of the 4 player version they would either need to scale enviro damage down based on people, or no one would ever group up.
@@LordViettnerit’s only rewarding if you are on pc. If you’re on PlayStation it’s only rewarding for Sony because you can’t do multiplayer unless you fork up for the stupid subscription…
Its to promote multiplayer, i do want to mention that mh has always been a multiplayer game, back in the day we did not even have multiplayer scaling so you either had to get very good or get some friends.
@LordVettner, good to see you back. Nice vid, 1 more thing to mention if you go for a HBG Pierce build I would advise to use the Crimson Kadachi Lion 2 as it is has slightly higher raw and better recoil then the safi gun. To completely block Kulves "lava" nova you need to have 3 shield mods on the gun + guard 5 + guard-up in your build. Having a better recoil and para + sleep to CC is optimal. We used the lion in our Kulve speedruns back in the days ;)
One extra thing is there is a layered set tied to the base highrank kulve, the Bushi layered armor. I only remembered it when replaying on my ps4 version of iceborne, and realising my pc save did not have that layered set unlocked, and thats because i forgot about original highrank kulve while speeding through basegame to iceborne. I will say it is much more managable with endgame iceborne armor like teostra, safi or fatalis armor and endgame weapons like frostfang, fatalis or raging brach weapons. Its still really slow to solo with the track following portion which extends the playtime by around 40 mins roughly. But it was funny how fast it was breaking the horns once you got past the tracking section of the siege.
im returning to ib and kind pf confused at all the dlc monsters whats the intended order of the monsters? kulve first, behemoth ex, safi, altr, and finish w fatalis? Also whats the point of doing these sieges what do they give in particular thats good? I know Fatalis is the best raw dps weap and armor is meta too Kt kjarr is best elemental dps What is safi, raging brachy, and alat for? It helps with replayablity to grind something worth fighting
I'm gonna try using these strategies in the Siege. All I've been doing is using rocks above to knock her out. Now I'll try that and head slam. If all else fails. I'll consider multi-player.
The best guide for Kulve Taroth? Go beat Fatalis, get his gear, then do Kulve. Because it's way easier to go beat Fatalis than trying to beat Kulve with the gear available when you unlock her fight
i love it when the servers wont let you connect to a group so then you're stuck soloing at pursuit level 1 for two hours to get it to pursuit level 2 just for Kulve to leave over and over again leaving you with nothing. why does this game punish solo players so much?
this is gonna get a little nerdy but if you're using sticky 3 LBG, there is a cap to how much damage you can deal per sticky and you can reach it really quickly. if you have safi aqua shot with any level of attack boost (ideally A+ A A A A), eat for attack large, felyne bombardier, mega demondrug, demon seed, demon powder, powercharm, powertalon. (this should more or less be base buffs to always have) then taking peak performance 3, and agitator 2 will max out your sticky 3 damage. alternatively if you want max damage without agitator (not really needed since enraging is really easy) itll take 3 levels of attack boost to cap you out. TL,DR run safi aquashot with all upgrades to attack boost, fatalis beta, raging brachy beta arms, and awakening charm III for equipment. slot in peak performance 3 and eat for all relevant damage buffs. and that will get you to max sticky damage. any more attack than that will be wasted if you are only focusing on sticky ammo, so use the rest of your slots for comfort and stuff like a level of stonethrower like lordviettner mentioned, maybe a shaver deco too so you can tenderize in one hit.
You have to wall slam... Me: Nope, F that. I *hate* wall slaming with a passaion. I didn't have to do this for Alatreon so I'm not doing it for the golden gagras
@@AntonioCunningham same here. I like tenderizing but wall slams can be annoying feeling forced to do. Just got to guiding lands so I don’t have meta anything.
this is the master rank (iceborne) version where you can upgrade the high rank weapons. you can still do the old version if you want but it’s kind pointless
pure raw damage, aim for the chest and head! if you have access to fatalis, that's the best hammer overall, if not, raging brachy or safi shattercrusher are going to be best until you have fatalis :D
game.capcom.com/world/us/schedule-master.html all event quests are available since the end of 2020, with the exception of Kulve and Safi'jiiva rotating every 2 weeks :D hope this helps!
My kuv master rank gear is max defs all elements resistance is positive, 1100 def, using her Wepons with her sets lets you eat food for free all day every day xD shes so op
yes, for element they are almost always the best. it's because the Kjarr weapons have built in critical element, so when you land a critical hit, you get a multiplier onto your element for that hit. lowest bonus is x1.25 on LBG and the highest bonus is x1.5 on hammer, hunting horn, and great sword. that's why the *Kjarr* weapons are so good!
Great guide! I picked up and learnt LBG to make KT easier. Just discovered you had a video on Behemoth with infinite dragon ammo which is kinda hilarious, do you have a guide/tips video for Behemoth? That fight still give me the chill lol.
glad you enjoyed that! behemoth is tough! honestly the best tip I can give is to play with a group. 4P is a lot easier than solo, and if you can, being in a voice chat with people will really help since being able to communicate what everyone is going to do or ask for help/heals is a huge help! best of luck :D
