The number comes from cached data that was grabbed before RU-vid disabled access to the dislike function in its API, as well as what users that own the extension do. If you have the extension and dislike a video, then that dislike gets reported to the extension's server and goes toward the dislike count for others with the extension to view. However, if I'm a user without the extension, and I dislike a video, it's not going to be reflected in your count because I haven't reported my dislike to the extension's developer. If a new video was added to YT shortly after the API went down, the developer didn't have the chance to cache the dislike count at the time. Then let's say that the dislike count was 200. You come along with the extension after the API went down, which means you'll see the dislike count as 0. Then you dislike the video and it becomes 1. Then another user comes in without the extension and dislikes the video; the count for you will still be 1. However, the real dislike count of the video should be 202. It tries to be accurate, but it's not exact. And since mrbeast uploaded video after youtube disabling access to dislikes from it API, it's totally 100% estimated on that mrbeast video. Even if you have the revanced yt, it's dislike data comes from that extension.

To all those saying MrBeast got 1m+ dislikes. There is no way to see actual dislikes except youtubers themselves. The extension or tool that you are using to see it just predicts dislikes based on likes/dislikes ratio done by their users with actual likes and extrapolates it. It doesn't show you actual dislikes. PS: I am not a fan of MrBeast. Although Chucky had debunked lots of points made by former employee, main allegation regarding illegal lotteries still remain and MrBeast must make a statement regarding this.
@@abhinavtomar885 If you don't have a point do not respond. I am not defending MrBeast. He must respond regarding illegal lotteries which Chucky ignored. But I am just saying fact about these third party tools.

The extension just predicts dislikes based on likes/dislikes done by its users and compares it to actual likes. It can be very well be far from reality.
@@nova-4_7 They are just spamming as MrBeast is deleting comments. More MrBeast deletes comment, more the people are going to spam comments. That doesn't prove anything about 2M dislikes shown by extensions.
