The same is said about hummingbirds, actually in México is known to be messenger of the gods, if you see one, a dear one that passed away just wanted to check on you and make you feel a little better, hummingbirds are so beautiful!

Hey Emmy, it was just Passover recently and I went over a friends to partake in their ceremony, (Sader) when we got a box of matza, I noticed it said the brand had many other Kosher mixes you could use, such as Passover macaroons, passover cakes, cupcakes, and other things. I think itd be neat if you do a couple videos on those just like you do the IKEA taste tests every now and then

it was interesting to learn about the gas mask function of the water bottle. thinking about the realities of war makes me sad, but i suppose fighting is in our nature i still remember your expressions and tone of voice when i was watching your videos recorded in Japan. you seem so much brighter nowadays. i know it can be due to all sorts of things (getting more used to filming yourself, for example, or wanting to portray a more positive persona). but i hope it also means you're feeling happy 😊 it's incredibly heartwarming, watching you laugh as you explore things. it makes my day brighter. thank you for sharing all your positivity!

I just got out of Air Force basic training and I love that they sent you a canteen with the gas mask part! I in fact had to use the gas mask while I was there and it was neat being able to drink out of the canteen through the attachment. It's great seeing you taste an MRE that I literally just ate!

Fun info about the canteen. You are correct, the black rubber thing is a way to drink the water without removing the lid. However, it requires the use of a gas mask in order to do so. I am a Marine veteran and I can tell you that inside the gas mask there is a little straw that you can grab with your tongue to get a drink if there is a canteen attached.

As someone who loves a quick meal, I find that no matter what, I just love the MREs because not only are they so convenient but even though they aren’t always the greatest food ever, it’s still a lot better and more flavorful than most other things I’ve eaten. all I need is some water and I can make a whole meal in my lap, and I’m down for that all the time

The jalapeño cheese spread is the best! My best friend's husband had a bunch of MREs left over from a month long training period and we went through them all looking for that spread.

My husband was in Okinawa with the USMC for 6 months and he fell in love with that curry restaurant! There's one in California that we've been too and it's really delicious so I would be interested to see a taste test!

That jalapeño cheese spread is practically currency in the field. And any time you get it, it makes your day better. The worst is knowing which meals it's in, getting one of those, then opening it to find out it's been changed and it's now peanut butter or something- that'll screw up your whole day hahaha

i have ate this meal too. i do mre videos sometimes. my cheese looked like the other day and i didnt eat it it is edible but sometimes on newer mres the cheese looks so nice and creamy. not broken. sometimes the cheese dont hold up if the mre is not keep cool and stored in a cool place. your adorable by the way.

my mom used to do peace keeper weekend training (Canadian soldiers are called peace keepers) and she would always bring me home MRE's because for some reason I really really loved eating them hahahaha they didn't have as many variations back then however. it was mostly beef stew and over processed salsbury steak lol

You say that about the M&Ms thats actually where we get the candy we know today, the candy shell was developed to get the chocolate from fully melting in jungle/desert environments, so the troops could have a taste of home the meal

First time I actually saw someone light a match from that kind of matchbook.. And now feel really stupid for every time I did this in the past, trying to strike it like a match that comes from a box.. I've never seen an mre open that easily. Also, there was some saying I was always told, "pogs warm up their food." Pog is a derogatory term for non combat job people. It wasn't true but for some reason combat troops still frowned upon heating up the mre and usually don't. I had a combat job and didn't because it was a hassle and the meal was going to taste bad either cold or warm. After eating so many, the taste seems to be the same since it's all so densely packed with calories and preservatives. Also, a fun fact, we had to toss our heat packets in a separate box before throwing the mre away. Soldiers do as soldiers do and make mre bombs with em. Just fold the heat packet real tight after adding water then toss it right away and leave the scene. Then boom 💥
