A flood is caused by rain and rain is an anagram for Rani, and The Rani was a Time Lord who's path crossed with The Doctor more than once and was banished to a pocket dimension so could have been spared the extinction of the Time Lords so if she escaped and discovered that the Time Lords aren't there to stop her well.. as she said herself "I had such big plans" She was also a companion of the The Doctor so her wearing other companions clothing could be a clever clue to that as well
As someone who does not know much about classic who yet, that is very interesting to know. I have seen people just saying she should come back but it seems feasible with your idea.
@@TheLaneDW I sadly can't take full credit for it, I haven't only watched Dr Who from the 9th Doctor and onwards, it was pointed out on another comment discussion as a possible theory, and so far is my favourite take, I did look up the information to be sure though
I am trying 😂, recently started the 2nd Doctor but there is SO MANY episodes. Not sure what E space is but ill give I shall look into it. From googling how she left the show it wasn’t showing anything definitive, hence my thought of that being a possibility.
@00Kequan it seems simple now you have said it but the line seemed to be just about sutekh arriving not her. But it could be a double meaning like you say. Definitely interesting.
Why is nobody thinking Mrs flood is the obvious? It's potentially the doctor's granddaughter. Other option is it's the master. And before somebody says Missy and the master killed each other do you realize how many times the master has returned after being killed? The master and the original series literally died and ended up getting a new body multiple times let alone in this new series of the doctor. The Master is like a cockroach. Irony being on more than one occasion he's done good things unintentionally. The master is the kind of guy that would literally be excited about the doctor beating the god of death. Master was always a weird character when you think about their mental construct they always kind of considered the doctor their friend and a very broken way
It could very well be one of these easily. The Master I wouldn’t want back yet but I wouldn’t hate her being Susan, other than the fact I would like Carol Ann Ford to return as her first (if she were to regenerate).
I'd say she's River Song. The "Flood" -> "River" name connection, the title "Mrs" suggesting that she's married, her calling the Doctor "Clever Boy", the Darillium sticker on her suitcase, the way she says she's "hiding herself away" like the Doctor says Time Lords do, the lingering question of what happened to her post-Forest of the Dead now that we know genetically pure Time Lords don't have a regeneration limit... too much evidence to ignore!!!
If being a God or a Goddess, I think she's rather one of the Norns from the Nordic Mythology. I'm not sure if she's Urðr (the one who stands for the fate of the future) Verðani (the one who stands for the fate of the present) or Skuld (the one who makes the mantle of destiny for each and everyone), but perhaps mrs Flood's different clothing could be a sign of her being the Norn of Skuld.,
I did see these while researching who she could be and found that some of them felt to specific IMO to fit everything going on with her but they could be and I wouldnt hate it.
i feel like mrs flood could be a time lord from the future or past cause how would she know what a tardis is. a nother theory that i have is that mrs flood could possibly ruby sunday when she is old.
Thats 2 great theories. The old ruby one sounds interesting. The doctor would probably tell stories to ruby of past companions so that could work. There is also a theory of ruby being a god because of the snow and music inside her which could explain the 4th wall break. I like the idea 👍.
When you bring up that Mrs Flood can see into the Doctor's timeline, I can see either the white guardian or black guardian making a reprise. If you look at The Ribos Operation, where Romana was told by the High Council President to help the Doctor find the Key To Time, she made the remark at the end of The Armageddon Factor, that the guardian didn't look like the President and the Doctor made the comment that the guardian has a right to change their appearance to suit the need. So, if Mrs Flood is predicting the future, then she has a need for him to fix a catastrophic event.
A know nothing of these characters as of now but from what you described that sounds like it could fit perfectly with everything we have seen so far, and sounds really unique.
My theory is mostly for fun, but with Disney’s involvement I really like the idea of the play on the old fan fiction idea that Mary Poppins is a Time Lord (luggage that’s is bigger on the inside?). Her umbrella and luggage in that final scene instantly brings Poppins to mind.
Yea he doesn’t have to be evil. Im not sure if Mrs Flood is or not. But over seeing the underworld allows him to communicate with dead companions is where I was going with it.
Series 7 is one of my least favourite series in the show and so I generally forget many things that happen in it, including the great intelligence 😂. Its a great guess though, could easily be who she is.
It’s got to be intentional right? It’s too identical. Clara is my favourite companion so it was deffo exciting to see. I doubt she will come back, but the reference was nice.
Another one is someone who is close to the doctor who has possibly met time like the 13th doctor did. At the very least could have a connection to that whole series
@@TheLaneDW if they had made that the whole of 13s story from the first season I feel Jodie would’ve been able to show more of her emotions because a lot of people hate her and it’s not her fault she’s a brilliant actress and to be honest if anyone deserves a second run at being the doctor again it should be her
Fantastic vid! I have high hopes for long term payoff in Ncuti’s era. He’s a brilliant Doctor. Mrs Flood reminds me of a similar character from a different series. Lesley from Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. Lesley is a supposed God, theorised to be the mother of one of the characters, who dictates, pauses; restarts & changes timelines to fit her taste. Very similar in personality too! Cooky Old Ladies always spark good mystery 😂
Thank you 👍. I am fully with you in believing the long term payoff will be great. That character you mentioned sounds super interesting and I could see something super similar happening here.
If she's an Osiran (Whoniverse aliens which include Sutekh, and in universe formed the basis of the Egyptian pantheon), Hapi, the God of the Nile makes sense for a Flood. A Guardian, probably the Black, is a possibility. Probably the favourite if bringing back god-like figures. She's not Rassillon (again), or Omega. And please not Tecteun, unless its to reverse whole timeless child shitshow. Then there's the water link - Pond, River, Flood. They made a point of the Doctor not knowing about a child, only a grandchild. Mrs Flood could be a daughter of the river (which may also tie back to the Nile, I guess) wanting revenge after being abandoned by her parents. This would also play into the whole adoption theme with both Ruby and The Doctor, allows for her to be Susan's mother ...... given the strong hints that Susan may return (it surely wasn't all misdirection) ........ and I'm actually starting to lean toward this thought bubble. Highly tenuous, but maybe plausible?
They all sound like really good theories. I do like the idea of her being the doctors daughter, will really link up nicely with a lot of current threads we have which I feel like is a must right now 😂
The way she tells the doctors life like a story and flood being the name I immediately thought of Amy pond. This is so out there so please don’t take it seriously. What if her and rory never made it together. We see the tombstones and the last page written by Amy but I’ve always thought this was too much of a fairybook ending. I think torchwood or the great intelligence found Amy and twisted her against the doctor. She’d want revenge for losing Rory and would know fighting the doctor out in the open you’d never win. So the girl who waited, waits till she meets the doctor again for revenge. Very out there but if not Amy I’d definitely go with Susan as a very close second
And I know this would make her just about 100 years old and she doesn’t have a Scottish accent so this is probably the least likely theory but if it isn’t her I do think there’s something not right about Amy and rory getting their happy ending with no strings attached i just don’t see it never sat right with me
That ending was too perfectly wrapped but the sentiment was there. Could be a cool way to go, having her turn on The Doctor. I have seen people suggest that same idea but with Susan instead which I guess could work better simply due to the age aspect.
I do not know who that is but I do like the idea of her being a non-evil character. She definitely didnt seem fully sinister in multiple of the scenes.
@@TheLaneDW The White Guardian is from classic Who. He appeared in a few episodes of the Fourth and Fifth Doctor eras. He’s the opposite of the Black Guardian, who is naturally, a villain. Both are god like beings like the Toymaker.
Thinking she is a TARDIS is bold but a cool idea. Also the title, I have added a question mark to it. It wasn’t intended to mislead, and I do not believe it has really but I have changed that to make it more open.
To be honest I think she will surprise us all with a better twist just saying a plot twist going with the name alone. Let's just think pond river flood the doctors wife as she knows everything of the doctors life past and future as she meets him in the wrong order in time as stated in the vashnararder episode and that book that river had spoilers in that same episode was also seen in that last episode from that second tardis. So putting this theory together for me could be another possibility of the miss flood identity. So look at it this way she got old or she found a way to start regeneration again and changed from river to miss flood aka the doctors wife as river sung did infact say the exact words before. Its like you never seen a tardis before giving more possibility shes amy ponds daughter aka doctors wife river.
She very well could be river. Would be an interesting character to bring back. Having the different face will also allow people to separate the two eras easily too.
Susan wasn’t abandoned. She chose to stay with her boyfriend and rebuild London after the Dalek invasion. In the future. How does she travel back without her own Tardis?
I tried looking up how she exited the show and didnt see anything that said she died so came up with this idea. I mean I dont know anything to do with Espace but im sure they could say she escaped it if they want.
Hades is a bit of a reach.i think shes either romana hecuba or river song from a alternate reality. Clara oswald. but i think its more hecuba as shes the god of time. Love the vids new to your channel
Thanks, glad you are enjoying the content 👍. Hades could be a bit of a reach, definitely, but it’s fun to speculate 😂. God of time is a good shout as she does seem to be linked with time, especially the doctors.
Okay my ( I admit it) boring idea is, that there is no great mystery around her. She is just the some kind of an all knowing narrator so she has no greater purpose.
I mean I wouldn't say that is boring. Could be an interesting way to take it. If it wasn't for the reveal that Ruby's mum wasn't important I would believe it more, but having 2 mystery characters be no one important back to back might not happen IMO.
I’m going with Clara. Remember, she’s taking the long way around with Me. Also, look at the Snow and how it was used by the Great Intelligence, where we saw an earlier version of Clara. Who happened to use an Umbrella in that episode. Remember, she is the Impossible Girl.
