Ever wonder what happens when the #MRT train closes its doors after a day’s service and comes home to the depot for the night?
Follow Sylvia and Aylna from Night Owl Cinematics around the SMRT Bishan train depot for a tour of after-hours train inspection and maintenance activities. They also got a chance to explore the tunnels of SBS Transit’s Downtown Line to see how maintenance and repair works are carried out.
Kudos to our train operators for working hard on maintaining our trains and rail lines as the rest of Singapore sleeps :)

Just in case you want to know the current rolling stock for EWL and NSL, they are: Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151, Siemens C651, Kawasaki-Nippon Sharyo C751B, Kawasaki-Sifang C151A, Kawasaki-Sifang C151B and, Kawasaki-Sifang C151C. The Bombardier Movia CR151 will be in operation from 2022 onwards.

No.its driverless...its under a system named CBTC...its controlled from OCC..but there will still be a staff in there in case there is a need for train to be in manual
