A New Translation's animation is gorgeous. Too bad that not every scene is newly animated, nor did they at least include the important bits like Char's Speech, Rosamia and her death, and Four's much later death at the Battle of Kilimanjaro.
Its because they changed a lot of things to make the ending happier. Four dies on earth helping Kamille get to space so she's not at Kilimanjaro. Rosamia's role was axed and the more traumatic stuff was removed. Lotta mixed feelings about some of this stuff tbh... but yeah the animation is AWESOME.
@@supergeno128dsThe thing is that things would have still been happy even if Four died her original death in Kilimanjaro rather than assisting the Kamille to space. And the worst part for Rosamia is that her spirit still shows up during the reanimated final battle against Scirocco and Kamille, which doesn't even make sense since they never met in these compilation movies. I think the best thing they could have done was do a one-to-one remake of Zeta, but leaving out the filler plots, much like the original Gundam series, so they can fit a 1 to 2 hour time for each movie while still keeping the pace good without leaving out any major details. I think A New Translation would have been one of the best compilation movies/remakes if they went with the approach of the original anime compilation movies.
0:06 Back when the AEUG was at their peak and had a lot of members composed of ex-Federation soldiers and officers, Spacenoids, and former Zeon members in their ranks. And they had an admirable goal of reforming the Earth Federation.
It looks so retro, yet so modern at the same time. The frame rate of these suits would make you think that Studio Ghibli or even Disney animated them. A New Translation's animation is one of the best.
Nemo was a pretty damn good suit for a "redshirt" grunt. It had more action in the series itself (Fa, Katz, and Rosamia piot them at one point) but the animation from the movies is awesome.
Nemo is the perfect replacement for GM II. its based on GM Sniper II that perform much better than original GM, now the design is refined to be more modular, easy to handle, cheap to made, and easy to modify to suits pilot needs.
It's not just cheap, the Nemo also uses Gundarium Alpha alloy for its armor, the same metal used for the RX-78-2's armor, while being able to keep production costs low. The Nemo is also the basis for the next generation grunt suit, the Jegan.
the Nemos have a really excellent showing here compared to UC Engage, even if you're just looking at the OG Zeta parts. they might be my favorite visor grunt design
that's a regular federation Salamis Kai, the titans ones have the dark grey sections on the side repainted to match the rest of the ship. they're not super distinct from eachother
@@attenboro_8371 Huh. True, but that ship is still operating with the Titans. As I think that's the Bosnia or Brunei and it was the ship that took Bask Om back to Gryps before AEUG's Jaburo Operation. So, my question still stand why in the world are those Nemos doing with a Titan aligned ship. They could be GM II in Nemo Colors again, but still... Shrug.
