Hey, guys! In this video, I recommend Citadel Colour Munitorum Varnish as a sealant. It has held up really well, and is just as matte as the day I used it - despite really hot weather. Buuuut it seems as though Liquitex varnishes go sticky when combined with Citadel. Her lips where I painted Liquitex Gloss varnish has gone sticky. So perhaps use another brand of varnish on the faceups if you're going to use Citadel😁
Citadel is great for dryer climates, in the uk it's more wet climate so the citadel goes glossy on wetter days, so just be mindful of the moisture level on the days you spray. If it does go glossy on you just give it another coat, it can also happen if the can is not shaken enough. I found it a good substitute if I can't get msc. So glad it worked well for you ☺

Thanks for doing this video! I live in the Northeast of the US, so our winter really is not conducive for using MSC. It really seems just very finicky. I saw an older blog that was singing Citadel's praises but I guess the formula had changed so many artists were very disappointed with the results. I haven't used it yet but I wanted to experiment with different sealants in different weather conditions throughout the year, but I am a beginner so I have just accumulated a few that I will try when I feel a little more confident. Thanks again for your video and I am happy you found something that works for you. On a side note, I was curious where you found the little shoes your doll is wearing. Thanks again!
Hi, there! Thanks for watching and for your comment🤗 I hope you find a really great sealant. Apparently Citadel is less sensitive to temperature changes, so maybe it will be okay for you, too. The shoes are ones I made myself😊 I unfortunately made them before I started making videos of the process, but there are a few videos on my channel where I make shoes in a similar way, and some videos on the way🤭

i might give this a try, since i live in a place with extreme summers and i can't use paint lest i completely ruin an otherwise decent face, so it's either paint and disaster or have slightly dull eye whites
Maybe I could give that a try once my mr super clear is used up, as for the head maybe you could save it for another doll project. I think your dolls face up looks fine just the way she is but if you want the shine in her eyes to stop then that's ok she's your doll. Does it come with safety information? I don’t like using MSC specifically because it’s so hazardous, but I can’t find any safety information about this specific product online.
Hey, Dollspoina! As it is made in the UK, it comes with english safety instructions on the back- much like other spraypaints etc. For example, it says to use it in a well-ventilated area, wearing a mask and gloves.
I've been trying out munitorum too and wanted to ask if you'd had any issues with the varnish drying with a more satin finish? When I use it, it doesn't seem to give any tooth and I'm not quite sure what the issue is
So far, mine's been working fine. But from what I heard from other creators and through comments here on RU-vid, that can happen if you spray too close or if you're spraying in less than ideal weather (like too humid/wet or even too cold). It's also important to shake the can really well before you spray
I think it's likely very similar, as with any spray sealant. I would absolutely recommend wearing a gas mask with this, as well as any spray paint or aerosol craft item.💕 Thanks for watching!🤗
