I tried that plane 3 days ago for the first time and fell in love with it instantly but I kept falling down into the french alps because I lost power at high altitudes. This video helped me a lot, thank you.
Excellent video! Coincidentally, I’ve been looking to fly planes that have levers that do “happy dances” and it appears I came to the right place! Seriously, though, you’re vids are top shelf.
Have you seen the Toolbar Pushback add-on? Watching your taxi maneuver made me think of it. The nice feature is that you can plan your pushback, including turning, so it's really handy for when you've got to back out of your parking space and then immediately make a 90 degree turn.
4:19 I think the apparent discrepancy between the Weight & Balance panel and the fuel gauges is because the panel is showing US Gallons whereas the gauges are showing Imperial Gallons: 24 US Gallons is approx 20 Imp Gallons. Thanks for an interesting video!
Nice video, thanks. I've been flying the seaplane version of the DHC-2 Beaver a couple of times and have enjoyed it. However, I have yet to figure out how to extend the landing gear if I want to land on a runway as the levers in between the the pilot seats don't seem to work properly. Starting on a runway the seaplane Beaver just floats above the runway without the landing gear extended...not real realistic, but fun still. Keep the videos coming and thanks for the POH.
So fun! We had the opportunity to fly aboard a De Havilland Beaver DHC-2 in SF Bay. It was incredible! You may enjoy the footage we took: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fNZpeHHzYpk.html
How things have changed, in the old days the pilot "learns" the aircraft and flies. Now we use GPS and all the electronics etc flying tolerances are MUCH more strict. GREAT flight! !! !!!
I have trackIR and VR- I’d honestly take a monitor if I’m doing a super long flight- just not getting that “loopy eyes” feeling is worth it. Maybe my eyes are just weak, but I get disoriented once I set up my vr, then again I run painfully low settings
Actually it would be tolerable if you just spoke more slowly and paused between sentences. Otherwise you risk sounding like Donald Duck after inhaling nitrous oxide.
