MSI Claw's a disaster before it even launches: Everyone else wins

I'll refrain on making a judgement on the product until I see benchmarks personally. I doubt it'll be competitive but my fingers are crossed simply because having more competition in the GPU market is a good thing.

I had the deck the ally and now legion go, legion is by far my favorite, its an all arounder, when you just want to youtube its a great tablet with high resolution, the kickstand still works for the portrait mode for them standup arcades emulation, mouse is there when you dont have one handy, its a computer if you need it to be, so many positives from my end....i love the competition it will make these companies work harder to come out with better products, love the options.

I chose a GPD Win Mini over a Legoin Go. I absolutely love it. The lightest handheld there is in 7".

Hey bud, actually the facts point towards Asus Ally being the best handheld in terms of performance. Also, VRR night and day difference. Regardless, I’m glad to see competition. Both legion and ally had same poor performance on launch, it’s a drivers game for Intel at this point.

I got a reservation for the A1M-050US during the few hours they were in stock on the MSI website. Not having tax was a nice plus, I did not realize MSI didn’t charge tax. It is supposed to get here today. I’m glad they give you 30 days to return it. I was pretty excited about it before I saw the performance videos. I didn’t want the Go because I don’t want detachable controllers and I didn’t want the Ally because the SD card issue and the big ass proprietary connection on top that I will never use as well as I really liked the idea of the Hall effect input methods. And I have always kinda kept to intel over AMD for no other reason than that was in my first build and I just kept it tradition. Long story short, I hope it doesn’t suck lol.

You can't call the LeGo the superior handheld on the market. The big 3 (SD, Ally, LeGo) all have something else the other two don't. I own a LeGo myself and it has the most flaws softwarewise out of the 3. I like it, but claiming it to be superior? Nah. Not by a long shot. Also you might want to wait and test the MSI first, look at how the handheld market behaves: shitty start followed by constant upgrades. A An early review should be followed by a review later on (1 year maybe?, as constant updates to drivers and software change these devices immensly. Look at the ROG Ally, devices were returned to retailers at launch because it was a disaster, and look at the Ally today.

MSI is delusional. They don't need a pre-ordering system if nobody want the product in the first place. Just throw them into retail stores and there will be enough for everyone who actually want to buy it.

I think msi made a big mistake choosing intel. I bet the drivers are crap and that's why they don't really want to show any reviews or give any units to major RU-vidrs because they know they will tear it apart.
