@@GenTechPC hurray ! did you replaced your gpu ? i replaced mine in 2020... it was the GTX 780M right after Nvidia stopped support Geforce drivers in 2019, how strange it is..., the GPU fails. Also replaced the battery, both find on aliexpress, a genieune GTX 780M and compatible battery with the hybrid power support. Other than that. A rock solid piece of hardware !
Just wondering, were your temperature results shown at 10:35 recorded after all benchmark tests or only after the first Fire Strike? I ask, since the GPU memory temperature sensor displays only 54 degrees, while the GPU hotspot recorded 107 degrees. It seems to me that the first test did not load enough the GPU memory. Am I right? Could you clarify that, please? 😅
@GenTechPC I just got mine in and oh yes the liquid metal is awesome! i have it with a UV set too. it runs cool and very fast! insane benchmarks scores great job!
For those wondering, my benchmark on TimeSpy with using the discrete graphics mode on my GT77 (RTX 4080) benchmarked a 18,967. A second test was 18,237 with the Hybrid mode enabled (Due to the need for VSYSNC in some games) - So something is wrong on his unit.
Why did this laptop do the opposite as the Titan 18 Hx. High gpu temps and insanely low cpu temps while the Titan 18 has high cpu temps and insanely low gpu temp. With the Titan 18 using more wattage. Can we awesome the 18 cools better?
I guess it's because GT77HX has 2 extra fans near CPU. MSI remove the 2 extra fans on Titan 18 so it can have DC jack and other ports on the back instead of on the left which is what I preferred. High CPU temps can easily fix by repaste with LM.
@@GenTechPC I had a defective unit. I exchanged my titan 18 and temps are amazing now. Didn't even thermal throttle in cinebench reaching max temp of 92 and 31000 single core. Difference is night and day now. I love it. GPU temps never touch 70 on it. Be wary of defective units.
I just received my top version with rtx 4090 but it gives me eye problems given by the excessive flickering of the display probably due to using too low a frequency of the pwm. Do you have solutions to disable the pwm?
Hi, can you check if this Laptop allows you to turn on 10 bit color depth by going to Nvidia Control Panel? Just wanna confirm if the monitor supports 10 bit color depth. Many thanks in advance.
It does have 10bit, i have one. The picture quality is beyond what i expected from this (my laptop). The only con i see with mine, is that it can get hot where you usually have your hand when playing games. The cpu gets to around max 85°c and gpu have never been above 73°c. This is with stock thermal paste etc. Tested with cyberpunk on crazy mode(overkill graphics) or w/e the name is.
I ran the PugetBench Photoshop Benchmarks against the Intel i9v13 64GB RAM against an i9v11 16GB and 40GB RAM. The MSI doubled the score of my 2 yr old 16GB RAM laptop, but once I upgraded my RAM to 40GB it was about 1.5x faster. Thanks for the review. I wound up choosing a raider ge78 and sometimes wish I had gone this route. While I will play the occasional game I mainly do heavy CPU loads for work and have done my best to undervolt to keep temperatures under control. I didn't want the larger titan, but I kind of wish I had waited to see temperature differences. It would be interesting to see someone do a torture test with prime95 on each.
hi, I have a question. Can you check if BIOS lets run Windows from both SSD slots? I need to have two Windows systems - one on each SSD. I want to be able to run either one at any time and switch between them.
What’s the different between gt77 4080 and 4090 I need to know because I gonna buy one today .. and is the 4080 Fbs is good s the 4090 is ?! or it’s more less
Something is wrong in those 3dmark benchmarks... It doesn't match at all with the general table, also a laptop with 3080 gives the same score in GPU... the data that you offer cannot be conclusive and it is evident that something is not right. (it's just constrictive criticism). Cheers…
Im ordering this model with the 4080 (cheaper and more available for me vs 4090) and raised my brow on that time spy. its close to an alienware m15 r4 im replacing with a 3070 in it. lol.
@@jeremymatthew6626 Have you already changed the memory speed to 4800mhz in the bios? There is definitely something wrong there.. I have the same laptop with 4090 and TimeSpy gives a score of 21,500, between the two I see that there is a difference like 3-4k points... so you should be around 17,000 at least.
if its the stadard time spy score that seems low, i score 12882 in graphics on my alienware r7 with a 3070ti, what power profile are you using, i think that card is 175w tgp
I think the test was incorrect and the tester was using the Silent mode. That's why the max power on the GPU was 100w instead of 175w. Also, the temps are high because of Silent mode as well (fans aren't maxed out)
@@GenTechPC , technically they are supposed to be for cooling , but i cant c what they are cooling or connected to , or is it just for more air intake to cool the copper pipes directly
