Although I love working with Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, I recently found out from a chemist that it has no moisturizing or conditioning properties. It's more about the sensory feel. Which is why its recommended to use Regular guar gum along with it, if conditioning is what you're looking for. Sellers of this product would have people believe otherwise since the majority of of consumers today are leaning towards more natural products. Regular guar gum is very conditioning and moisturizing; but Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride has been modified and engineered in a lab for cosmetic commercial use. So if anyone is using this in their products and still calling their product 'Natural"... you're wrong!

Hello Yaya! I don’t know if you have made these yet but I would love it if you were to create a Shampoo Bar. The 2 reasons are that no. 1, I completely trust that you would rock it if you did and no. 2, with the planet being destroyed by plastics and single use plastic, especially, I think we all can do our part by not using or buying plastic. I purchased some from Viori - a shampoo and conditioner bar and they are really good but would prefer to make them. They are also a bit pricey! It is just an amazing thing that I wish we would’ve done a long time ago. Sooo…, any chance of that in an upcoming class? Blessings to you. 💜💜
Since you’re using MSM, can a person use this shampoo after they have just colored or relaxed their hair? Would the MSM cause a reaction along with the chemical process and damage/break off the hair?
As far as I know, msm is safe for colored treated hair and actually created bonds that strengthen keratin the hair. However, you can do a test strip or ask your professional hair stylist first. 💜
I watched ur video and the best part was the starting song . Love from India. I watched many videos of urs and the best was the 2 videos for beginners. Even though I was not able to make it because of lipidThix. That product is not available here. Me : just realized that after watching almost all ur uploaded videos, I will not be able to make any diy . Because it's too complicated for me . With lots of ingredients and I want to store them at room temperature. U know what? Everything needs money 💵 😢 And it's not like I can't buy anything . But fewer ingredients the lesser the cost. And many times the products don't even exits in India for me to buy . I just wanna make a shampoo , hair and face cream with long shelf life . Why is it so hard ?

The biggest difference and that one is anionic and one is non-ionic. Anionic usually has more cleansing properties and more foam. Decyl glucoside is very mild, so it can create a very gentle cleanse. 😊💜
PEG 40 can be used as is and is easy to add to the formula. Polysorbate would probably need a co-emulsifier. It can definitely be used though. The ASM for the Alpha Olefin Sulfonate is 8% and the Cocamidopropyl Betaine is around 2%. Total 10% However, this is for this specific formula. This can change due to your formula and what percentage of each ingredient you are using in the formula. It can also be affected by the manufacturer you choose to get your ingredients from. Hi, you can definitely use rose water as the fragrance. I recommend citric acid to adjust the pH. Phenoxyethanol can be weak against yeast and mold. It is important to add a co-preservative to help fight them. You can definitely add wheat protein and panthenol to your shampoo. Just make sure to check the pH. I hope this helps. 😊💜
