Great video. I just summited 2 weeks ago with RMI and it is awesome to relive some of the route I just climbed or to see the areas I couldn't see when it was dark. Those crevasses are no joke!

This is an absolutely incredible video. It felt like a movie, very well put together!! Those crevasses are intense! I hope to Summit next year 🙏🏼 this gives me so much inspiration. Thank you for sharing this!

My team got as far as the D Cleaver (12,000 ft) on July 27/18 but had to turn back because ice was very thin and melting in sections. Two weeks later, after ladders were placed in that section, my friend summited. Just my luck. Oh well. Two hikers and a guide had to be med-vac due to rocks coming down in the `bowling alley area' the day before. The old adage, `You don't have to make it up, but you do have to come down' holds true. If you don't get it done the first time, try, try again.

How late were you at the summit? I have only climbed in the alps, but to get up at 11.30pm for a 4392m mountain seems pretty crazy! In the alps we would get off at 4-5am to be at the summit around 9am and back by midday... is rainier just ridiculously long?

Raineer is pretty long. We stayed the night at high camp and summited early afternoon.

Great footage and minimal, tasteful music. Well done here :) I notice most people wearing Sportiva boots just as I do in himalaya videos. Any reason why? Are these rentals ? Is Sportiva better than scarpa and all the rest for some reason?

Yes these were rentals that RMI offers. With that being said I have only used La Sportiva on all of my mountaineering trips. I have never tried Scarpas but only have good things to say about my La Sportiva boots.
