Just did this ride a couple of days ago - feedback - could not locate the bridleway on Dunnerdale fells, as you say dropped onto the footpath and joined the road lower down. A complication at Broughton Mills where the bridge was completely unpassable as its being repaired - had to go through the river. Finally the Bull in Field sign on the gate: after a while it was there with a herd of cows, right across the trail, so backtracked and diverted west along the road. Ill defined bridleway across the moor around Thwaite Yeat but managed to follow. GPS paid for itself ! Shame it was a grey day though - loved Birks Bridge.

Love your videos by the way - cracking. Watched the Borrowdale Bash one before we did it and it really helped. There seem to be a few different routes on the Interweb for BB.

Did this again today and the final descent should be avoided, the wooded area near the middle is covered in fallen trees and I picked the worst time to do it late July, bracken and prickly bushes cover the whole descent.

Getting in early, comment section is cleaner than my drivetrain

I see why some of your videos skip sections, as I go through them all randomly the missing bits all appear at some point! Better that way.
