The Venn Diagram really helped me understand how to break down the problem into the LCM. Applying it to the problem was tricky but it just takes practice.
I love the venn diagram for finding LCM, and the hints that anytime a problem is talking about the smallest number possible between 3 numbers it is telling you to find the LCM. The diagram is great how for each number the prime factorization is done, and then the numbers are inputted and crossed off as you go. Then all you have left to do is multiply those together!
This venn diagram method makes so much sense, I often get confused with where the numbers go and the difference between LCM and GCF. This was a great visual way to understand that and get the answer.
I have tried to work through this problem several times when doing the practice test. I never was able to figure it out, seeing this problem using the Venn diagram was so helpful and showed me what the problem was expecting me to find out.
I have never seen the Venn Diagram used with prime factorization and it helped for me to understand the problem much quicker than normal. It is a great way to understand LCM especially for a visual learner like myself!
Hi Chris, I learned how to use a ven diagram as a strategy for finding the lowest common multiple. This involves taking each of the numbers in the problem, finding their prime factorization and placing their common prime factors in the ven diagram so that they can be multiplied to find the answer. The final step requires us to plug this number into the answer choices. Thanks!
It was helpful to review the definition of a least common multiple and receive an explanation for why the word problem was asking for us to find the LCM. It was also helpful to draw out the diagram to solve the LCM.
LOVE the VENN!!!!! I have practiced this problem before with a math teacher at the school I work in and she had me multiplying out for all 3 numbers until I reached the answer. Your way is so much easier!!!
We use the Venn Diagram approach to find LCM, however, I like how you quickly reveal why this is a LCM problem. Many of these MTEL problems are verbose, but you analyze them clearly. Thanks!
I had to practice this way a few times before I understood it. it was worth it. I think it's fairly quick. I always go back and check to make sure I have the correct numbers in the correct circles before I do the final multiplication.
I found the video to be very helpful, especially through the use of the Venn Diagram. The Venn Diagram organized each value to find the Least Common Multiple which I will definitely use when competing problems similar to this one. Thank You!
I learned how to find the lowest common multiple a new way. I really like the way you did it. I do not recall being taught that way, so this way made it easier to understand.
Had no idea how to solve this problem at first. The venn diagram helped SO much! Need more practice but feel more confident approaching a problem like this
This was a great lesson in recognizing least common multiple problems. I got tripped up initially on the lower bound of the range being equal to 150 but understand now.
The venn diagram really helped me and I never used it before. I also didn't really know where to start with this problem, but once it was explained, it made a lot more sense.
Using a Venn diagram was helpful because it made it easier for me to keep my work and thoughts organized. I needed a refresher on LCM, so this video was very beneficial.
I absolutely love the venn diagram strategy to discover the LCM of 3 different numbers. I do need to practice it a little bit more but I find the strategy to be helpful.
