The mono red deck has got insane with the addition of RVA. The steam kin with card draw and light up the stage is as juicy as it gets. Might have to be the next deck I build!

At 32:32 could you just tap sacrifice the green/blue card itself and get the other angel, replay green blue guy and do it again ?

Can you play the second Legendary and in response to it resolving the double Legendary effect, tap the first one to sac the second, sac it for Dawnbringer and end up with no Vannifars in play, but both angels?

You cannot, even if you could use Vannifar at instant speed you wouldn't be able to activate her. You always end up with one Vannifar.

I love this version of the deck.Would you consider running any copy of Rattlement Battlement on the deck?It works great with ETB triggers and our Pod engine.

Can you use vannifar into frilled mystic to counter things through teffari passive?

Can only use Vannifar at Sorcery speed, so you wouldn't be able to in the first place.

Can't you sacrifice the deputy of detention while it's enter the battlefield ability is on the stack? The leaves the battlefield ability would then get put on the stack and resolve first, and the target would get exiled permanently... I think that works right?

@@LegenVD Ah, that makes sense. It is one block of text so only one trigger. I was thinking the ability worked like Oblivion Ring where there are separate triggers when it enters battlefield and leaves battlefield. If you destroy or bounce an Oblivion Ring in response to the first trigger, the permanent is basically exiled forever. They must have changed the wording on cards like this to avoid those types of shenanigans.

Would Gaea's Blessing be useful? It can restock your deck with the creatures that you sacrificed.

he had just used vannifar to pull out shalai. the other vannifar cant block because she doesnt have flying/reach and she also cant sac shalai for lyra because you need a turn to untap with her before you can activate the ability.

@@boazverdooner5647 Yeah i'm sure most of these people play mono red because they like the deck a lot and not because it's stupidly easy to play and do well with it. Let's face it, mono red is easy to build (low amount of rares), hard to break (if you get 2 lands you are ready to go) and easy to pilot (just go face).

Trostani was definitely a consideration, and would further help with the Monored matchup. I prefer Ooze and Vivien as they can win you the game once a boardstall is achieved, whereas that's not always true for Trostani. The additional utility that Vivien provides is also very valuable.

LegenVd, great deck, Bant is my jam, like to see you play the same theme with Arcades and walls instead of Merfolk. It would be a bigger challenge, but it could work also.

That was my thought too when watching this. The odds of having both Angels in play simultaneously or Zegana gifting trample into the ooze is reduced. Still - so many ways to find the Creature of your choice and dorks to hard cast them.

I've got a different deck built that uses both, didn't fit into this list. Krasis doesn't play well with Vannifar.

Random Schmid If the opponent had Dive Down, they could protect the creature in response to targeting the creature rather than the enchantment. LVD explained pretty clearly he was playing around dive down
