When LVD uploads an upgrade video: “Redemption is upon us”

So I noticed this video didn't have a "free upgrades" section, and I thought I would do a little research and suggest something here in the comments... but it's actually kind of complicated because they changed the WU starter deck from "Artifacts Attack" (which has pretty much the same theme as this deck) to "Wing and Claw" (a fliers deck with no artifacts). None of the other decks have any artifacts or artifact synergies, so it makes a huge difference which of those starter decks you got. If you have "Artifacts Attack", I would suggest these upgrades as a starting point: -2 [Disperse] -2 [Aven Wind Mage] -1 [Befuddle] -1 [Divination] -2 [Gilded Sentinel] -2 [Air Elemental] -1 [Riddlemaster Sphinx] +2 [Blink of an Eye] +2 [Relic Runner] +2 [Temporal Machinations] +3 [Skyscanner] +2 [Juggernaut] If you have "Wing and Claw", I would suggest -2 [Disperse] -2 [Aven Wind Mage] -1 [Befuddle] -1 [Divination] -2 [Air Elemental] -1 [Riddlemaster Sphinx] +2 [Blink of an Eye] +2 [Chart a Course] +1 [Kitesail Corsair] +1 [Mystic Archaeologist] +1 [Warkite Marauder] +2 [Exclusion Mage] I should say I have not tested either of these (and I don't have a [Warkite Marauder] to test the 2nd one), but I think these changes should improve the mana curve without sacrificing much late game power.

Hi LegenVD. Merry Christmas... I just wanna thank you for your "Upgrade Vids"! I´ve builded an Wrath of the Mages and it is doing GREAT! I only play the normal game mode to get enough gold to do a draft and with this deck it is really easy to get my wins... I need to "farm" my cards so this is the best way in my opinion and draft is fun, i love it. :)

When I saw that you were gonna upgrade the artefact deck I asked myself. How is he going to do it? That that deck is awful!! Now I know throw it in the bin and start anew :D

Very useful series! A bit dissapointed about no "step-by-step" modifications, that was the best way to grasp the powerlevel and synergy of the cards. Without steps, this becomes just a review of a different blue deck, it does not feel "upgraded"

always fantastic videos in this series! very interesting that you seemed to only matchmake against unedited starter decks. are you going to get a decklist for the deck they replaced this with and do a video to upgrade it too, since it is now an NPE starter deck? merry christmas!

I like these videos a lot. They help me to learn how to think about playing the game. That being said, do you really think it does the deck justice to punch people with the base decks in the face? I would have liked to have seen how it goes against something else as I might have learned more from that experience. I feel as if any good upgrade stomps all over the base decks if they too have not been upgraded properly, and this deck seems to be a very good upgrade. :)

I was expecting that white artificer that pumps things or traxxos or something. This one is a bit more imposing than the others. :s ... I'm still gonna try to make it. >:B

I wanna see a deck like this with pirates that generates treasure tokens and then finishes off with antiquities wars. Is it viable? Does it already exist?

I don't even know what this Deck is supposed to be about lol. It's…??? Regardless, saving the fireworks for the endyear? Dragon's Fire, is it? I'm interested in how you're going to make that one cheap. It's...potentially the most expensive of all the upgrades, I wouldn't be surprised if T1 decks were cheaper. edit: Merry Christmas and all of that edit edit: Maybe adding in some Traxos here wouldn't hurt. 2-3. And the paragliding artifact ; this is too easy to rush down and, besides, isn't an upgrade of Inventions, but of Artifacts Attack(I prefer the UW version myself). Just a note. ;)

I think that if the mana from powerstone shard goes nowhere, then diamond mare is strictly better than voltaic servant. Treasure map flipping early and pseudo vigilance doesn't beat lifegain imo.

Too bad Ornithopters are out of standard, would have made a good addition. Great upgrade!

Idea for future videos. Make like a top 5 list of decks to climb ladder with. Go over the meta and stuff. Idk. Just an idea.

This... is not an "upgrade." This is an outright replacement, you're only using two cards from the original deck. The whole point of upgrading a starter deck is to make the adjustments *accessible* and *possible* for someone newer who doesn't have a million other cards as options. Only call it an "upgrade" if you're adding at most like... one or two rares, 3-4 uncommons, and maybe 8-12 commons, aside from what you can get from other free decks.
