I love how you first go through the cards that should be replaced just with the free cards we get from the other starter decks. It's nice to be able to play slightly better versions of these decks without having to resort to using up any of the very limited wildcards we're given on cards that otherwise might not be super competitive.

I like it that you put ads in the right point of the video, where the viewer can really use the pause and not in the middle of something like most of the time happens. Thank you for your content and the great explanations of everything you do! :)

thank you so much for this one. I improved this deck mostly by your reccomendations although I kept the tapping creatures in the deck. Now its my new favourite deck. About 9 wins in a row.

This is the first video out of the 3 I've seen so far that starts with replaceable cards for everyone (with the starter decks). I think this is very handy and you should make sure the rest do this going forward since most people who come here are people who are just starting out. I haven't owned a single card in the other videos you went over lol. Also A+ for the written replacements.

I built a similar deck, but it was Black/Blue Flyers instead of White/Blue. You do get access to cards like Kitesail Freebooter and Thief of Sanity which are both great Flyers, and quite disruptive! ...Im surprised that Siren Lookout didn't make the cut.

Hey LegenVD, great videos as always. These are very helpful especially since you go through not just upgrading the decks but also gameplay! One suggestion would be to try taking out these kinds of decks into Constructed Event (the normal one with 500 gold cost). That way you can show if a deck is effective enough for grinding in constructed, and gives you an estimate of how good your deck could be for best of 1 grinding due to aiming for 7 wins (as I imagine those who watch these are interested in decks that can get them through the grind). When you play unranked, the decks you come across are a complete mish mash - sometimes you'll face starter decks, other times you run into competitive decks. Constructed might allow you into an even-field more often (opponents more likely to have slightly better decks and experience compared to unranked matchmaking).

Awesome deck. I'll mainboard 1 Zetalpa, the satisfaction is worth more than the win ratio.

@LegenVD Thanks a lot for the video, excellent as alway. I have some questions: What do you think of adding flashy creatures like dream eater and (RNA) Angel of grace for keeping up counter spell and/or flash in when oppo tapped out? Also, can we include (RNA)Sphinx of Foresight into the deck to 1. Make it more staple midrange deck, 2. Allow Aggressive mull to 5 for scry 4 ensurance (Likely for curious obsession.)? And finally, the new split cards depose//deploy and warren//warden seems very midrange card and looks fitting to the deck, what do you think about it. Thanks a lot for the video!!

I can't believe windreader sphinx didn't make it in the top end of the original deck. You would get so much value. It's just a tough road to get there.

Wow at first I didn't know this deck existed. Just thought ppl liked flyers. To find out they got a kitesail hurt but to find out they got a light of the legion too made me mad. So many better rares than artifacts attack. I can't be too upset given I could reasonable recreate this deck but cmon ..

Wow you've really grown since arena came out that's awesome! I've been watching your vids for a long time now. I just started MTG Arena, I'm pretty new to MTG in general too. Which of the starter decks in your opinion is a good one to upgrade that can be somewhat competitive in constructed play?

Thanks for the upgrade but out of 10 games I got mana screwed 7 times. No mana draws or only mana draws. Probably got nothing to do with the deck but my bad luck :)

THANKS! I was waiting for this one. I started upgrading the W&C thinking more about the mentoring side, maintaining both mentors + cards like Mentor of the Meek and Militia Bugler... What is your opinion on this? It is possible to focus more on mentoring instead of flying in this deck and still get a good deck?

fun. but, feels super weak in practice. Admittedly, I don't have all the cards to match it fully, and some of those missing, are fairly key. curious obsession. but still, too slow to match aggro, dies to bolt.. and too weak to match tempo or control. A weird spot between tempo and aggro, doing neither well. Favorable winds is inherently slow. so probably needs better aggro defense, while pushing itself towards stronger tempo.

I love these videos, but it can be annoying seeing you cut cards you just put in a few minutes before. I understand the process, but I'd rather see the end result and 3 minutes less video.
