So, i think what i learned most about your first game, was how you calculated your plays with drawing an extra mana source in mind. This enabled your perfect phoenix play, leading to your win. Great didactic discourse as always, keep it up!

That guy with the random Jace was pretty lucky that he drew the planeswalker, cause it could be easily in the graveyard with all those milling. And I didn't saw a lot of copies of Jace in there. That milling reminds me of the old mill deck... what was it called again? Ahhh... I remember... Turbo Stasis.

This deck probably needs : - Less mountain, more islands - Less Sweet Oblivion (I'd cut 2) since once you have one in the graveyard you're set. Maybe replace them with interaction or a way to reinforce the phenix beatdown gameplan ? Or even a self mill Jace ?

I could see adding more taplands over Mountains to help with getting triple blue. Oblivion is still needed as a cheap selfmill card that also triggers Phoenix. Escape is just a bonus, but not the primary reason why we're playing it.

I am actually impressed by it. A key weakness of elementals and Risen Reef is drawing too much.... and ironically Jace takes that and turns it on its head.

Hi lvd, awesome stuff as always! Can l ask you why did you cut creeping chill? To me on average it's better than narcomeba and you have enought cards that mitigate the fact you cant play it from your hand

Being able to cast the spell is important and adding black to the manabase would make it a lot more painful. I also like it when my spells trigger Drowned Secrets.

I think 5 mountains is too much. I would play 3 mountains and 2 more islands. The two red isn’t as important as the consistency of having islands. Love the deck and the addition of ox and sweet oblivion seems better than the last version. I’m still gonna try to fit in discovery though

Obviously this deck has some manabase problems. I don't know if that means you should have more taplands or drop ox of agonas, but in the current state those 5 mountains are just painful

The Ox is very good in the deck, but I agree the mana could be improved. Maybe a few extra taplands over mountains is the way to go.

Needs Stern Dismissal instead of Unsummon, as it hits Enchantments and creatures also at instant speed

It's not strictly better as we can't use it to bounce our own creatures. This can be relevant if we want to bounce our own Secretkeeper or save something from removal (especially exile). Could see playing a mix of both to have more options with Mission Briefing.

More importantly underworld breach doesn't count as a spell to get the phoenixes back.

@@Waghabond Bro did you play Yu-Gi-Oh or magic? Beach can allow you to cast spells from the graveyard for example secret keeper, opt, radical idea etc.. The phoenix comeback faster than mission briefing and at the same converted mana cost

Ox costs two red mana and you can hard cast the phoenix

@@Eduardof2101 ox is 5% of the deck. Also was used once with 0 impact in all 4 games. Having win condition of cycling blue spells, and not having the corresponding amount of blue mana in your deck seems not all right.

You probably didn't watch the video if you're saying the Ox was only used once. With all the selfmill we can consistently find it in our graveyard. That being said, I could see replacing some Mountains with more taplands to help with triple blue.

Nah, there are much worse things. You get to play against mill and there are plenty of counters in multiple colours. Heavy control with only counter spells and sweepers is much much worse to play against
